The match no convince me sha...we gat 17days before the next match lets hope the players discover their mojo back
If we had lost or drawn the game, you would have requested that klopp gets the tuchel treatment from FSG or insinuate like others here that he is not good enough as if he were just a boy scout coach that needed to work on egg shells to impress people about his ability....same klopp that in the last three seasons have won everything for LFC!

Well at this stage, every win no matter how it comes is important and will serve as a motivation to do better despite the humongous mockery this team and manager have received from rivals and some of its fans!

Lol i am a huge fan of klopp and have only voiced concerns. Meanwhile out of the three matches we've won this season, the wining goals of two of em came around 80' + (newcastle n ajax).

Haaaa seriously....I highly doubt that sha grin
How can you be a huge fan of Klopp and after a few dodgy results, you want him to get the tuchel treatment?
Bro thats not fair for a manager that has turned a midtable team to a fearsome squad since he took over in 2015!
I guess the reason for the overwhelming slurs from some LFC fans is because klopp has set the bar of standard so high that any result aside a win will always bring his managerial competence to an intense scrutiny...We must also not forget where we are coming from so that we can appreciate the amount of work he has put into this team for the past 7 seasons!

Your concerns are valid and who would be happy with roller coast results we have been witnessing?
However,we must take into account that the team is going through a phase as more players in the team are hitting the 30 plus mark and in need of few changes esp in the midfield!
The phase must be gradual and should not be rushed in order not to kill the spirit and unity in the team...some folks here might disagree but that is the way i see it and i gladly welcome their epistle of doomsday brickbats! cheesy

Finally, the idea of blowing teams away may not happen for now since we need to go back to the basics and start building from the back considering the fact that we have been leaking goals of recent...When we get some clean sheets under our belt while churning out victories like the one witnessed last night,we can now go back to annihilating teams!

It's surprising nobody here has figured the problem....

Elliot doesn't work as a RCM..
In Klopp's football that uses the fullbacks as width providers, the Cm's in midfield are either expected to retain the ball(press resistant) to play passes into the final third while also being solid defensively ( Thiago*Wijnaldum ) or basically cover for the full backs when they overlap so as not to overload the CB's and the Dm...

People have been going on about Trent not being able to defend and that's the biggest load of bullcrap I've heard in a long while.. Trent is tasked with creating chances ( because the boy has such ridiculous quality with the ball, man pings 70 yard diagonal passes with his weaker foot) . This means that season in season out, his chances created stats ranks in the top 3 or 4. Tasking such person with sprinting back every single time we are countered is asking him to basically kill his body by the time he's 28, not withstanding,he defends well enough...

The problem now is he's suddenly lacking the cover Hendo used to provide, prior to us conceding vs Ajax, I was screaming at my screen when I saw Elliot standing or jogging back as opposed to actively covering Berghuis when Trent positioned to intercept the pass..I knew Trent wouldn't get it and I knew it would most likely result in a shot and alas, I was right...It was a shot and it was a goal...

This doesn't only affect the CB's, it affects the DM too who's now mindful of the space Elliot leaves when he ventures forward,Fab is now running round the midfield and he's been beat because he's all alone in space, the return of Thiago who's a maestro reduces that as we saw vs Ajax but he's still having to cover for Elliot.... In a way, this also affects Salah too because Elliot who's been a winger from his academy days tends to drift to the wings, around the general areas Salah likes to occupy...

Around the 30 minutes mark of our game vs Ajax, I saw a situation that has played out quite a few times, Salah got the ball outside the box, he waited for Arnold to come through for a quick give and go(they do this all the time) which mostly results in a snap shot when he gets the ball back, but Arnold never came, on closer observation, you notice that Elliot himself was more in the middle of the box and Trent was in the midfield area, it was obvious that Trent was mindful of going forward in case of a quick break if the whole sequence didn't work out...With Hendo, he wouldn't be bothered about that..

As brilliant a player as Elliot is, he's still a lightweight and his attacking instincts far overshadow his defensive ones ..

He compromises our structural balance...
I've also wondered why Klopp hasn't down anything and I've realized it's either because of a shortage of capable Midfielders, injuries or him wanting us to work through this setback and find a solution on the pitch....

If Klopp wants to accommodate Elliot, Trent should become a more traditional fullback...

Despite all these, FSG must take the blame if we want or need somebody or people to blame, they could have gotten Barella or bid for Konrad earlier, instead, Klopp was expected to make do with available options till next season....And we only got Arthur on loan because Hendo got Injured.. It's the story of FSG though, a few key transfers through out the years and I'm pretty sure Klopp would have had 3 EPL titles or 2 in the least by now...

Spot on even though I am a rival fan...

Elliot shouldn't be starting as he doesn't provide enough cover for Trent and in attack doesn't offer as much as Trent...

Omo, this is just exactly what I've talked about with my guys in other Liverpool WhatsApp groups.. Elliot as a RCM is a liability...The guy is more of a winger.. in my opinion,he should be deputizing for Salah...A lot of the goals we have conceded this season come from counter attacks from our right wing.. When Trent overlaps to provide offensive support, Elliot will be on the offensive too...
I hope when Hendo is properly fit, we will be seeing the usual midfield three of Fab, Thiago and Hendo.. And also, more game time for Arthur is needed...

Klopp needs to seriously consider taking off Salah at times... He can't continue playing 90 mins all game with this form.. Salah seem to have suddenly lost one of his biggest asset which is his dribbling skill this season .It's affecting his form...

Liverpool's problem presently is not Salah. You are supposed to be talking about our flat and vigour less midfield at the moment not Salah.
Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: Champions of England by Lordsagna: 7:33am On Oct 05, 2022
I think Liverpool should adopt this new 4231 formation against Arsenal on Sunday, if you watch the match last night, you'll see that we pressed more from the midfield, Salah coming back to the midfield to get ball, Henderson showing his ability, Thiago with his confidence passes, the match was interesting, unlike the 433 where everyone is chocked, no accurate passing Arnold overlapping putting us in danger .
I think we should use this new formation at least for now before everyone will get back to their form especially Salah..

What on earth is milner still doing in our squad?... shouldn't it be high time we started using Arthur? ... or was he meant to warm bench?

I agree with you .. The 4-2-3-1 brought some stability.. Against arsenal, Firmino should take Jota's spot . But I'm concerned about where Fabinho will fit in...

As for Milner, it was easy to see that the moment he came in, we lost the midfield..Rangers became more daring and almost scored from a counter if not for Tsimkas's clearance... I wonder if a guarantee of more game time was inserted in Milner new contract as part of his condition to take a pay cut... The man has done well for us in the past, but at this moment, he offers close to nothing..

Rangers game should not be the basis for any decision making abeg. This Rangers team that is dashing points to everyone? Getting trashed by all and sundry. We even needed a penalty to make it 2 sef. Same team that shipped in 4 against Napoli at home?
No be only formation, let's change our high pressing technique because we beat Rangers we were supposed to beat 5- 0 on a good day.

Exactly rangers 5-4-1 formation also helped, i think ryan kent was the only one up front no winger to trouble trent and salah only had to deal with the right sided Cb of the three man defence (my observation though).
I prefer we stick with the 4-3-3 in the Arsenal game
