BREAKING: Appeal Court Orders ASUU To Call Off Strike by tinsel(op): 2:39pm On Oct 07, 2022
The Court of Appeal has granted the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) permission to appeal the ruling of the National Industrial Court which ordered the union to call off its strike.
The court, however, granted the application on the condition that the union obeys the ruling of the lower court and calls off the strike immediately pending the determination of the substantive suit
The court gave ASUU seven days within which to file the appeal.

I guess we can return to class for 7 days, file the appeal, and strike again.

Of those 7 days, 2 would be used to clean the classroom, 2 waiting for students, 1 saying hello to students, then there's Saturday and Sunday, making 7.

ASUU has no excuse not to go back to classrooms now unless they want us to believe they are above the law. The government has caged them.

ASUU has no reason not to go back to classrooms now. The government had caged them. This is the beginning to the end of their frequent strikes.

They can call off the strike and give a specific date for resumption, then start strike all over again.

Nah students i pity pass. Choose between low quality education that'll only get poorer once ASUU's demands are not met, or sit at home for a long time.

They cannot until the determination of the case.

ASUU can very well go back to the classroom and not be there at the same time.

If you come to my classroom and I teach you nonsense you might wish neither I nor you were there.

The stupid ASUU will face unprecedented consequences if they failed to respect the decision of the Appeal Court!
The Federal government should set machinery in place towards proscription of the useless union. In fact even if the strike is called off, FG should ensure that the current executive account for their financial dealings and demand for authentic audited accounts of the union during the last 3 years.
Those who goes to equity must do so with clean hands!
No child of the current ASUU excos schools in public universities in Nigeria currently while they claims to be fighting for the students. That's hogwash, that's hypocrisy!
