This is impressive
Hopefully, our increase in touches in the box leads to 3points vs Liverpool. I'd hate for Klopp to use Arsenal pick form

See ehn. I think that's why whispers are going in among the big money bags. Ucl is under threat backstage. We'll see how things unfold.
I think it'll even favor Uefa more. If all tiers of Uefa competition are this competitive, it means more money for Uefa and the big clubs

The game against Liverpool is much more than the physical one, it also includes the mental challenge. It's been long we won/drew against Liverpool in the league and last season is even one of the worst where out of 4 meetings we couldn't even score a goal.

The good thing is that as long as we're all fit (which I believe we are), we are very very better than last season and previous seasons in terms of skillset, personnel, confidence and most importantly mentality. Tomorrow won't be a work in the park certainly but I believe these boys will give a very very good showing.

Second leg against Man city and Liverpool last season elevated the confidence I had in this team and it's undeniably clear how much we've improved from last season. Arsenal fans who followed our games consistently from last year December know the kind of good football we played during those times till May. It wasn't a surprise seeing us go a notch higher this season with this displays we've been performing this season when you factor in the quality new signings included(Saliba included)

I believe the boys can do it.

For those who think we only started being competitive this season... This is the table from October last year to this last gameweek... We only got better this season.

You should know I'm not the pessimistic type but not really confident of a win. Let's say I'm lowering my expectations.

I feel Liverpool will be easier than Tottenham. Liverpool are not physical like you said, and on the defensive part they are very susceptible especially with their fullbacks. This is one area our wingers especially Martinelli will be relishing.

Also, with Partey and Xhaka both available and we are likely to dominate the midfield as we are at home. Add Saliba in defense, that's the salt.

Finally we also have Jesus. cool

4-2

Hit them in the counter or go with full pressing? Which tactic would you employ?
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 5:29pm On Oct 08, 2022
Thiago didn't train according to rumours. That is a little let-off for me.
If he didn't make the team, Bobby or Jota comes in Midfield which will seriously affect the Liverpool team.

I'm concerned about Salah though but if Martinelli can bring his A-game, that should automatically neutralize Salah's threat. White already faced Son and Zaha this season so I expect him not to have any problem with Diaz.

Saka vs Robertson will be tricky...if only Ode has the decisiveness and versatility of Vieira.

All I all, our past records against them is giving me this negative vibe but our form and the fact that we have our main squad fully fit is giving me positive vibes. Lemme predict a narrow lead (or narrow loss) for Arsenal.

1-0 or 2-1

When I meant physical, it was the footballing and technical challenge I meant not the physical part.

They're more technical and tactical than Tottenham and I don't believe they'll be more easier than Tottenham. Their main players are back(aside Robertson) and they'll be revved up to mark their stamp back so we need to be careful and expect a very open game unlike Spuds that was very very defensive

Also, the bolded are the reasons why I feel we might nick it but it might be a close affair.

We should go full pressing but we should be wary of their counter and be mindful of our highline esp If they stick with the new formation they used on Tues. Our game is a pressing game and we're brimming with confidence so I'm expecting more of the same with a few tactical tweaks

My mind is telling me that it might just be precaution for Thiago and that he'll be available tomorrow but it'll be a good booster for us if he won't be available. Also, I don't think Robertson will be available tomorrow, hopefully it'll be next week for them. So If he isn't available (90% unavailable), I'm sure Saka would find Tsimikas more favourable.

We just needs to be decisive and ruthless tomorrow. 2-1 or 3-1 I'm predicting sha

I think after that United game, our highline has sort of changed. I noticed it against the Spurs. Gabriel being the farther of the two CBs.

Yeah plus Partey always screening the centre backs will add more security.

Tbh, this is the best time to beat Liverpool. I just hope we capitalise on it

If we can control possession we can easily beat them. The absence of Robertson is their biggest blow as TAA depends on his side of defense whenever he pushes forward. If we start attacks with Saka and are able to switch to Martinelli quick enough, their defense will open. GJ will be too hard for their CBs to keep quiet as he will drag them out of position. I am relishing this game the more I analyse it.

Yeah, I agree with what you said and I believe we can make our quality count but one thing you should also remember is that they have qualities too with one of the best coaches. Their main players are back and fit(aside Robbo) so it'll be a very sterner test than what tottenham served us. Jota, Salah, Thiago, are not pushovers. If we need to win, we need to grind 2x as hard as we did tottenham and we need to be ruthless.

Also we need our fans to ginger the boys
