Proposed budget breakdown for the year 2023

Re: Proposed ₦19.76 Trillion Budget Breakdown For The Year 2023 by RingRoadMafia:
70% of it will be borrowed.

This government has no idea how to generate funds, that's why we're where we are today. Buhari is bereft of ideas to make money; he has depleted the little Jonathan saved, he has borrowed to stupor, taxed Nigerians to stupor, hiked electricity bill to stupor, claimed monies in accounts of suspected deceased people instead of giving it their next of kin, charged Nigerians to pay "stamp duty", now he's mulling removing subsidy. All this whilst still maintaining the mammoth cost of running his government, maintaining their JUMBO salaries and emoluments, even their life-long pension and retirement benefits! All Buhari knows how to do is dump the cost of government on the common man. People are suffering terribly, but Buhari doesn't care. We will fuel his jet, and he will fly abroad to treat himself with our sweat and tears. If that isn't gross incompetence, then I don't know what is! We can't afford to have Buhari Pro-Max in office for another 8 years!!!

VOTE WISELY!!

smiley

Debt servicing - N5.35tr

Capital expenditure - N5.35tr

So their only plan before the expiration of this miserable administration is to borrow more money and loot all without doing anything.

Hard days ahead

What is the true amount of 2023 budget?

I have heard N19.76 Trillion.

I read also N20.15 Trillion

And finally, N20.51 Trillion.

Which is it, pls?

The earlier Nigeria starts servicing her budget from internal generated revenue, the better it is for Nigerians and its citizen. Borrowing is not helping the country and it will keep plunging the country into perpetual darkness and doomsday.
Re: Proposed ₦19.76 Trillion Budget Breakdown For The Year 2023 by haybhi1(m):
Buhari just collects and collectd, and end up knifing the country. Deficit and debt servicing are high for a country that don't generate as much.

Obviously, China and US have much more massive debts - 2,634 billion dollars and 2,710 billion dollars xtively (debts only o) - too, being high-end countries, but they bridge the gap and even raise the bars by massive revenue as well. Japan is worst when you compare her debt to gdp (her total production) ratio. You'll even almost think Nigeria is doing better, which is wrong.

Now, this Nigeria's total budget is 45 billion dollars, it can be helped by first putting the right people in the right place. Everyone does the right thing.

In reality, more will later be collected to better run the country. This will go on until we start becoming efficient and need not collect anymore. The country is then self-sufficient, it gathers much revenue, starts paying off debt. Exporting.

We can borrow a leaf from all progressive countries. From the middle east greats to the western greats and china, even the South Africa, Egypt can teach us a thing b/c of the familiarity in geographic location and expected demeanour of people, and even the Rwanda b/c they are making success in their economy.
That's if we're not looking to look inwards to turn things around.
