tctrills:the data show how your children will die of hunger because Obidient will save money that suppose to be use for development. Is US not the most indebted country and the same time, the most developed country |

Jesusloveyou:If you u really think debt is the source of US development then you are a fool. Again you got it twisted. If you don't save for the future you are killing the children. You don't even need to go to the US to find out how debt can destroy a nation. Buhari has taken up more debt than any leader in the history of Nigeria, how has that played out? |

tctrills:You don't cite data in isolation. If you are citing something, you have to ensure that the major information you are trying to pass across are captured. That is why we have paraphrasing. You can't lift an image from somewhere, read your own meaning into it, and then expect your readers to go and find the significance by themselves. Citations are for two major reasons: 1. Let the reader know that the idea is from somewhere else. 2. Then in the reference list, to provide the reader with further reading. |

BluntTheApostle:Actually, you can site a data in isolation. It's up to a reader to discover other sources to create a balanced opinion. It's now over 24 hrs, I believe by now you must have come up with counter data to show Tinubu was the better governor. Pls give me your info because I am ready to change my mind. And do you really expect a reference list on a Nairaland post? Bros Nairaland is not an academic journal or a university project. |

Anambra remains a sh1thole despite all these paper statistics posted. Newspaper articles and weird, unverified data is what these people celebrate but when you check the reality, na still trash dey. |

tctrills:Or, so without a reason why the data is needed, you can just include it in your work. How great!!! I am not asking him to put a reference list, but to include the tools used, and the conclusions made. Researchers are always advised to include these things in their papers so as not to create misunderstandings. There was a research which showed that women are more happy in marriages than men. But not to create a misunderstanding, the researcher added a disclaimer that they didn't consider state of mind of participants before administrating questionnaires. It could be that those that answered no were presently not happy. It doesn't mean they are always unhappy. If I used this result in my research without the disclaimer, I will be doing an injustice to my readers. |

BluntTheApostle:Oga do you realize that this is Nairaland and not an academic journal? You are free to add more light to the topic but you seem to be saying that you want me to do the research for you and that is laziness. |

tctrills:Then, why did you bring an incomplete data here for us to debate. That is being clever by half. How did the researcher get such data as health index and income index? How many workers were sampled, and in what regions? |
| Re: Data Shows That Peter Obi Outperformed Both Tinubu And Fashola As Governor by tctrills: 9:22am On Oct 09, 2022 |
BluntTheApostle:I brought in a super complete data. You are allowed to counter the data. You are very educated, you know how to get info. Would you want to mail the researchers and ask for their methods? |

tctrills:Share a link. Tonyebacanista made a post of how badly Anambra fared in providing viable business environment under Peter Obi, and he posted a link where we were able to read at least the abstract of the study to see all the aspects that were considered in the study, and methods used to arrive at that conclusion. Let us see your own link. |

LegendHero:Foreign NGO like WHO, UNICEF, Global data tab, etc always pool their data meticulously. Infact they have on accurate data on Nigeria than local bodies. I'm a PhD health professional and when I cite these in my publications I get more credibility than when I cite local sources. Embrace truism. |

tctrills:Being dubious is not academic at all. Sharing a clickable link will take us straight to the academic paper, which is what every sensible OP does. It is not the responsibility of the reader to start sifting through hundreds of posts. You didn't even include a specific title. If you want to promote Obi, you have to do so with confidence, not playing dirty with data. No be only una sabi play dirty politics. |

BluntTheApostle:While I continue to tell you that Nairaland is not an academic institute. You are only being lazy. You know the source of the data. It beholds you to do your due diligence. |
