for clarity [lifted from a neutral observers page] What happened yesterday? It's like there was a huge counter attack by the Tinubu group. It was a three pronged attack.i am sure if you go through the posts of the PO supporters on this platform you will find the same thing. they are trying to package what they recognize as a box of s**t this is how you play the SM game and show these PO boosters to be what they are - a bunch of hypocritical wankers. thanks to the new twitter edit feature, many of them will be scrambling to edit their posts and change reality - and i am sure those will also be captured as to awards by nigerian papers and organizations - anyone who has worked in a blue chip company in nigeria will tell you how it goes - the corporate communications dept works out something with the paper or the organization - so that the governor or ceo can get his ego boost, and neophytes can read and be deceived no be oceanic bank dey chop award like no man's business before hurricane sanusi? nothing we haven't seen before |

GloriousGbola:It's immediately apparent that the backpedalling Obidients are motivated by a cleat tribal bias, which in my opinion is not a bad thing. Any Nigerian that ignores their language, culture and centuries of tribal legacy in favour of a Nigerian identity that did not exist until 1960 is a ginormous fool. Any Nigerian that claims they don't see tribe in favour of an identity shaped by line arbitrarily drawn on a map by a white man from the UK is a huge fool. You can't afford to not align with your tribe in an artificially constructed nation like Nigeria, and its clear that most of the prominent Obidients are acting accordingly What I'm just happy about is that the myth of a detribalised agenda is clearly busted. Labour Party IS the Ibo party at its core, just as APC is clearly the Yoruba and North Western party. Now that that's clear, it's now up to the electorate to align with whichever favours their agenda. Pretending this was ever an issues based election is farcical. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:31am On Oct 10, 2022 |
nihilistjnr:i learn that lesson after gej entered from 2009 - 2011 i was on the politics threads knocking some of obj's policies, and after him - yardua. i had some fellows i rolled with who did the same. but the moment gej entered - some of them shifted immediately and began making excuses for him. it was a hard lesson - which is that for most political pundits - it is not so much about the state of nigeria, but their candidates\tribes position in it like me back then, i see several of my naive kinsmen jumping on the PO train, rubbing shoulders and pallying with all these so called detribalized pundits and influencers - not understanding the real game - ọ bụ oge anyị ugbu a [google translate] packaged as we want to save nigeria. What I'm just happy about is that the myth of a detribalised agenda is clearly busted. Labour Party IS the Ibo party at its core, just as APC is clearly the Yoruba and North Western party.and PDP slowly and surely devolves into a northern party. if they do not win that election - that is all that is left for them, imho. Atiku will again retire to dubai - and i cannot see any SS states carrying the party with their funds after the power sharing agreement was casually violated. |

God abeg oo... You people and anything to justify tribalism.. So people that changed their opinion on Obi way before he even thought of contesting, was that done from a tribalist POV?? . |

The man is not a regional candidate.. Nothing about him screams Igbo candidate and no matter how much you try to make this person be like a Tinubu or Atiku... He is not and won't be. There's a reason Obi is the only candidate who can have rallies held for him in the North and South at the same time without any political presence needed. That's acceptance. So dead your narrative .Tribalism this.. Tribalism that.. Nor be me send Tinubu to go shout "Emi lokan" Even Atiku who I expected to be extremely regional since no Buhari has been more widely accepted than Tinubu. ![]() |

liveLongNprospa:Yes, because a candidate that needs to win a federal election will come out and openly say he is a regional candidate. Yet the area Obi is projected to do the most numbers is in the South East. The most prominent Obidients online typically are from the South East or based in Lagos. Several prominent Obidients of South Eastern extraction were vocally highly critical of the mam, his policies and his output during his tenure in office, but almost a decade later are suddenly praising his virtues to the electorate of a country where there has only ever been one Igbo president in the history of the country It looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, has 2 legs and 2 wings like a duck, but let's call it a cow. |

Igbos align with Obi= IPOB Igbos with Tinubu = Brothers from SE (this will always make me laugh) Yorubas with Tinubu = Proper Omoluwabi Yorubas with Obi = Omo Ale. (this one was too funny on twitter) ![]() But when northerners insult Tinubu, his supporters cannot cough online because them dey hustle votes .Again nor be Obi go shout "Emi Lokan" Obi is not the one that speaks his tribal language to whip up sentiments. I'm not even sure atiku sef does. Only one candidate has been doing all that just to gather support .If all 3 candidates decides to play regional politics, Tinubu will lose out badly ![]() |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 9:28am On Oct 10, 2022 |
nihilistjnr:So the SS is also part of the SE abi.. Or the rallies you've been seeing that shows his acceptance beyond the South East are a result of him being Igbo abi. The first state to show Obi love was Edo State. Edo State. In Lagos state 4-5 rallies were held simultaneously for him... Not 1 oo.. 4-5 rallies. Bros if you like scream it from now till eternity, the man is not a regional or tribal candidate. He doesn't move like one.. He has barely spent time in his own zone. Infact his own state has barely been holding rallies for him. So what's this ni? ![]() |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by nihilistjnr: 9:55am On Oct 10, 2022 |
liveLongNprospa:Sir not too long ago you pointed out how Obi had South East on lock liveLongNprospa:But somehow Obi from SE having SE on lock is not a regional consideration With your own 10 fingers you gave Obi the SE. We also now know that Obi's popularity in the SE is not based on performance or good governance based on the scathing criticisms of his administration offered at the time by some of his biggest fanboys online, many of whom are of South Eastern extraction and lived under his administration. So maybe you should be telling us why exactly Peter Obi a South easterner, who wasn't particularly popular in the South East during his administration, and who hasn't worked in any sort of Government since, all of sudden has the South East on lockdown. What's changed between 2013 and now? |
