This shit is really cracking me up.

What happened yesterday? It's like there was a huge counter attack by the Tinubu group. It was a three pronged attack.


1) They unearthed lots of posts and tweets by people who are now major supporters of Peter Obi. Most of those tweets and posts were made between 2009 and 2014 and the authors, who are now the biggest supporters of Peter Obi on social media, were condemning him back then. One said that he had written a letter to Obiano to warn him not to use the contractors that Peter Obi used, because they all did substandard work. Another tweeted about the parties and celebration that they were having because Peter Obi was leaving office. She completely condemned him back then.

There are many more and it isn't just on Twitter. The same thing is happening on Facebook and even Nairaland. Check this out https://www.nairaland.com/7374609/lawyer-criticized-over-old-tweet. They are just too many for me to post all of them.

It's obvious to me that this thing was planned, but I still can't understand how they were able to unearth so many tweets and posts. The authors rushed to delete their old tweets and posts, but it was too late. Their opponents had already made screenshots of all of them. It must have taken weeks to gather all that material.


2) It wasn't just about social media post. These people got videos, newspaper articles and other stuff to back their opponents' previous views. For example, as stated above, one of Peter Obi's biggest supporters at the moment had tweeted that Mr Obi made substandard roads and buildings. Someone challenged the Tinubu supporters to provide proof of this claim. Can you believe that this guy had videos of a sitting of the Anambra State House of Assembly in which the members complained about the roads that Peter Obi built, stated that the roads had collapsed after 2 years and asked Governor Obiano to reconstruct them? They also had newspaper articles to back up their claim and they threatened to release more videos and articles.

I'll tell you because you asked very politely.
This was a road Atani Ozubulu Road constructed by Peter Obi for N6.9bn as at Jan. 2014.

3) The third prong was about posting videos and articles of Peter Obi contradicting himself. For example, one guy posted an article of Obi stating that he had never gone abroad for medical checkup. Then he posted a video of Obi saying that he went to the UK for surgery and the doctor that attended to him was a Doctor Ayo from Ondo and that he needed further review and the doctor that reviewed his case was a Doctor Obinna.

It is clear to me that, for all these things to happen on the same day and on that scale, this must be a well planned attack. So many people cannot be revealing so many old posts on the same day. It's too much of a coincidence.

as to awards by nigerian papers and organizations - anyone who has worked in a blue chip company in nigeria will tell you how it goes - the corporate communications dept works out something with the paper or the organization - so that the governor or ceo can get his ego boost, and neophytes can read and be deceived

It's immediately apparent that the backpedalling Obidients are motivated by a cleat tribal bias, which in my opinion is not a bad thing.

Any Nigerian that ignores their language, culture and centuries of tribal legacy in favour of a Nigerian identity that did not exist until 1960 is a ginormous fool.

Any Nigerian that claims they don't see tribe in favour of an identity shaped by line arbitrarily drawn on a map by a white man from the UK is a huge fool.

You can't afford to not align with your tribe in an artificially constructed nation like Nigeria, and its clear that most of the prominent Obidients are acting accordingly


What I'm just happy about is that the myth of a detribalised agenda is clearly busted. Labour Party IS the Ibo party at its core, just as APC is clearly the Yoruba and North Western party.

Now that that's clear, it's now up to the electorate to align with whichever favours their agenda. Pretending this was ever an issues based election is farcical.

Yet the area Obi is projected to do the most numbers is in the South East. The most prominent Obidients online typically are from the South East or based in Lagos.

Several prominent Obidients of South Eastern extraction were vocally highly critical of the mam, his policies and his output during his tenure in office, but almost a decade later are suddenly praising his virtues to the electorate of a country where there has only ever been one Igbo president in the history of the country
