Lately the amount of false and fake news and info being pushed to front page is alarming. Today a "news" will pop out tomorrow a disclaimer will be made, by the people the news is centring around.

I've been on Nairaland for years now and it wasn't like this in previous elections, why now? There was a news saying Labour Party released their elections campaign timetable with source from twitter, today a verified credible source disproved the earlier news.

I know the new campaign strategy now is attacking a "structureless" party but at least that party have a website, confirm from them first. Is this why Lalasticlala is no more with us? Every week multiple disclaimers on multiple posts mostly targeting one group. Elections will come and go but Nigeria and Nairaland remains, only if there's plan of changing it then let us all know.

If the name of the news paper appears good if it doesn't ignore it...

Seriously, the rate of fake news on this platform now is alarming. These fake news are really destroying Nairaland. Something must be done ASAP.

Few days ago, one you your own, an obi supporter. One silly guy, created a post filled with lot of disgusting things about islam, and its holy book. Your kinds were all their cheering him on.

I had to involve myself cos i was just so upset, that was extreme. I tagged seun and mynd44 thinking the post would be brough down.

I came here like 3hours later, that post was still standing, infact it has even got to page 2. With the same thread creator having a filled day constituting nuisances and riding on the non-challant altitude of the owners and moderators to act to insults other religious and its holy book, making mockery of it on a platform as big as this with over 7million users. Very bad.

And i am always surprise, that you guys still have the moral justification to always cry and wail whenever things dont go your way in here, considering how silly and absurd you guys have been on this platform.
