A former governor of Enugu State and Senator representing Enugu East senatorial District, Chimaroke Nnamani, has faulted the decision of the PDP to ignore five of its governors as it commenced presidential campaigns for the forthcoming 2023 elections.

Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Sam Ortom of Benue State, Ikpeazu Okezie of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Uguanya of Enugu State have said they will not support the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, unless Iyorchia Ayu resigns as the party chair.

After several efforts to the aggrieved governors to reverse their decision fail, the party commenced its campaign in Uyo on Monday.

Reacting, however, Nnamani, in a statement he signed on Tuesday, said the PDP leadership should have done more in a give-and-take manner to carry the aggrieved party faithful along.

The statement was titled ‘2023 PDP Presidential Campaigns: Ignoring Five Governors, Discouraging – Sen Nnamani.’

He said, “Today, I go on record in total condemnation of the treatment of the five governors mostly from the southern states within the PDP. The governors are our leaders and their humiliation rubs off on all of us.”

Nnamani recalled that state governors were not treated with ignominy during his days.
He  cautioned against erecting parallel structures in the five governors’ states, stressing that “politics is local and the folks from these affected states parading with the PDP leadership will not deliver their polling booths without the governors.

“Without the involvement of the governors that are our leaders, these mere cheerleaders and feel-good political operatives cannot deliver.

“They can drag themselves from their home states to Abuja. Some are Abuja permanent residents. They dress the meetings and colour the rallies, but that is what it is, political colour dressing.’’

But oga u are currently a Senator under pdp at the same time a member of Tinubu campaign team. Is that not anti-party activities?
What's your business with pdp matter again
They thought Atiku campaign team will be waiting for them after withdrawing and distancing themselves. They did same thing during osun governship election, osun people shamed them.
I'm for peter obi, and Atiku as alternative.

There is no way ayu willl resign at this critical period . So the best thing to do is to move on . Atiku and pdp can't stop their campaigns because wike wants ayu to go and ayu says no he isn't. That is madness ,the only thing is that atiku and pdp will keep on talking with them and try to reach a compromise before election day.

WARNING! If you vote Atiku, you are voting for Fulani bandits/Boko Haram.

1. Atiku believes Boko haram/Bandits should be given AMNESTY.

2. Atiku believes it is the fundamental right of fulanis to roam about with their cows, hence he is anti-OPEN grazing laws.

Nigerians, vote wisely o...

PDPs game plan is not to votes, their game plan is INEC

So they don't need Wike or anybody's support or votes
Re: Nnamani Warns PDP Over Boycott Of Wike’s Camp by IamNat: 1:12pm On Oct 12, 2022
On who's side exactly is this man though?

Anyways, it just seems as if Atiku was not destined to be president because I don't understand how an opposition party with 13 governors discard 5 of them who are actually governors of a region where the party isn't so strong or where the opposition against the party is so stiff.

All this issues is to Tinubu's favor one way or another.
