There is never a time a meeting of all Northern politician is called to decide the candidate to vote for. For illustration, a good number of Northerners sympathetic to PDP voted against APC and Buhari in both 2015 and 2019.

It is even more dicey now because of emergence of Kwankwanso's NNPP, which the five aggrieved state governors and their supporters could join to strengthen after 2023 election.

With Peter Obi's Labour Party taking over former PDP stronghold in SE, SS and some parts NC, the question is if PDP really wanted Atiku to win, why shouldn't Ayu resign, work and be given political appointment after victory in 2023?
