Nigeria failed to complete the Adamawa dam since 1982 (30 years) that was meant to reduce the effect of release of the dam. Imagine, we couldn't build a dam over 30 years when cameroun built that BTW 1977-1982.

My local government(ONELGA) in River State is massively affected. The only two houses we have in the LGA headquarter has been taken over by the flood. It hasn't been easy around here.

I informed him that the rest of Nigeria seems unaware about what is happening in Bayelsa, unlike Anambra and kogi that's in the spotlight. I think they do give prior notices before opening...I know in Kaduna NEMA and SEMA gave likely affected areas like 2 weeks notice even up to the last hour.
