Like Peter Obi Like Atiku A Tale Of Two Presidential Candidates Seeking For Sympathy Votes With Religious Card
Why Atiku And Peter Obi Should Desist From Tribal And Religious Politics

"I am a Northerner, Northerners don't want or need a Yoruba candidate and Igbo candidate. I am a Pan-Nigerian candidate of Northern origin." Atiku Abubarkar Oct 15.

Judging from the body language of some of the major candidates, it appears that the 2023 presidential elections will be marked by a great deal of ethnic and religious intonation.

One cannot blame the proponents of this hypothesis among the big candidates; its permutations are quite plausible, and if not effectively addressed, they may get their way.

Electoral success is essentially won by the majority of votes cast; it makes no difference how or by what demographics the votes are cast; what matters is who wins.

Now, this is a three-horse fight between the APC, the PDP, and the LP, and if all regular permutations and logistics are followed, no party has a chance of defeating the current APC, which controls a whopping 23 states.

The deadly game is set to play here because, despite what logical logic would suggest, the APC can be defeated hands down, and this is strictly by religious sentiment and tribal divisiveness, so bear with me as I walk you through a specific thread.

A few weeks ago, a video went viral in which Peter Obi told the church that they needed to rise and take back their country. One wonders when the church was asleep that Christians had to wake up to reclaim the country from unbelievers.

Peter Obi never appeared to retract his remarks, and Atiku has not yet issued a statement retracting his claim that the North should only elect a northerner to the presidency since it is their birthright.

They don't need to disprove anything since they know exactly what they're doing. For example, the Labour Party has no gubernatorial candidates in 17 states, no party chairmen in 9 states, and only 30 Senatorial candidates in the upcoming general election.

So how does a party like that usually succeed? They are employing this strategy to encourage as many Christians as possible to support Peter Obi. Spreading division, the APC has a Muslim and Muslim ticket that is anti-Christian, and the PDP has a Fulani who is also anti-Christian.

So, if Christians all vote for a fellow Christian and Muslims split their votes between Tinubu, a Muslim, and Atiku, a Fulani, then, of course, they will win. To be honest, this is the only logical way LP can win, which is why they claim that all Igbo and Christian votes in Lagos, Kano, Borno, Rivers, and other states belong to them, and the rest should share the other votes.

That is why you see Obi only jumping from church to church for campaigns.

You may argue that my logic is silly, but isn't it equally stupid to envision LP winning a Presidential Election with no single Local Government chairman across the 774 Local Government areas? Nobody has a monopoly on stupidity, lol.

Then take a look at Atiku, a history of failure. If you follow all the antecedents and logic, Atiku's aspirations ought to be over before they begin.

How can a candidate who had Peter Obi, a true rave, as his running mate and Kwankwaso, another rave, as a party member, lose to the same Buhari they accuse of destroying Nigeria in 2019? Call me stupid but how can a party with SHAKY-SHAKY governors win a party controlling 23 State Governors?

It is only reasonable that we give respect to facts and reasoning and cease this hypocrisy of proposing a strange permutation for what has already been attempted and failed countless times.

Of the three, Atiku stands the most likelihood of losing horribly. The only way he has a chance is if an ethnic card is played. Tell me why they are ignoring Wike?

They believe that if Wike withdraws from the PDP, the North will stand with their northern candidate against the South, which is why Atiku made that statement. Atiku is not stupid.

But is Atiku even a Nigerian, and yet he asserts that the North should rule indefinitely? Anyway campaign is expected to begin in earnest soon, breeze MUST TO BLOW FOWL Yansh must OPEN. If he is from Cameroon or Nigeria, Atiku needs to tell us.

In Atiku's thinking, the South should split its votes between the Christian South and the Muslim South, and the North should vote for its own Northern Muslims, giving Atiku a clear victory.

This is what the white man means when he says the end justifies the means. Get the victory in whichever means you can, regardless of the morality of the victory.

These two aspirants are cunny and desperate, which is why they reacted with tribal and religious chauvinism. The same snake wey bite Atiku na take tail flog Peter Obi.

As it stands, only Tinubu appears to be on the fence when it comes to using the religious or tribal card; Nigerians should make their own judgment.

The election would be determined by street credibility, individual and collective interest, and the winner would be the one with the best strategist and popularity. Don't worry about all these Sorosoke generations of analysis that have no prior history of political permutations.

Your allegation about Peter obi is flawed. You will also accuse those that say vote wisely or those that encourage people to register and get their PVCs.
He visited some churches, yes, would someone win presidency by sitting in his living room all day. You go to where you are invited?
What's bad in telling people to take back their country, haven't we suffered enough in this country to leave it in the hands of few corrupt individuals? Yes, everybody should rise up, let's take back our country. Don't sit down and say my vote does not count, it counts.
Don't involve Peter obi in Atiku's and emi lokan mess.

What a trashy write up. The OP is a known pay me I write for you political jobber who is under Tinubu's payroll. Remove Peter Obi from this junk you wrote. Tinubu is the master of ethnic politics. He as a candidate is a threat to our democracy. He vowed to fight dirty and unleash mayhem on anyone who stands on his way to aso rock. He sworn that his opponents will labour to death. Is there any divisive campaign that is more injurious than this? And above all he doesn't believe in one Nigeria.

Tinubu to Yorubas: “it’s the turn of Yorubas to produce the next President of NGR, & when it gets to Yorubas, it’s gonna be me.”
Atiku to northerners: “You should vote for me because I’m from the north, don’t vote for a candidate from Igbo or Yoruba.”
Peter Obi to the Igbos: “do Not vote for me because I am from Igbo, vote for me on the basis of my competence and integrity. 2023 is not anybody’s turn, it’s the turn of Nigerians.”

Everyone can now clearly see through d hypocrisy of the igbos,it’s not that they hate anyone but the problem is that hypocrisy wan finish them

Imagine people who hate gumi with passion n even declare him a terrorist n condemn him that he must b hanged suddenly changed mouth when Peter obi paid gumi a visit

I was shocked to d marrow when I saw Igbo monikers praising gumi, like I was just confused

Imagine a known Igbo moniker calling gumi a better strategist n another one saying we stoop to conquer while another was saying d best way to go without minding what they have said about gumi before

It is now crystal clear that they only hate u because u aren’t in their camp,so if mc oluomo n kabaka they love to hate join Labour Party tomorrow that means they will suddenly become angels?

I believe we all can see d madness now

You were able to give Atiku's exact quote even though it was said in Hausa. But not Obi's exact quote even though it must have been said in English.

Truth is Tinubu is banking on APC northern Govs to deliver d north for him. As it stands now there is no clear cut winner but Atiku still has the most chance. Tinubu is only sure of SW. Which I can tell u most Yorubas are not really enthusiastic about the election. I know by January it would be clear Atiku would win. Cos Obi does not stand a chance.

Tinubu is the most liberal among all the candidate. Not someone like killer herdsman Atiku championing Ruga and Killer herdsmen at the expense of people's lives. OR Obi who champion Igbos.

Also, I need to add that Tinubu had Igbo and others in his Lagos cabinet when he had no obligation to do that.

A very useless write up

Abeg remove Peter Obi's name from that place

Peter Obi had said time and again

"Do vote for me because I am from the East"

"Do not vote for anyone because they are from the west or North"

"Vote for competence"

Christians have previously been non challant when it comes to exercising their civil responsibility

This deficiency is what the opposition usually capitalise upon to ensure they position themselves in places that opposes the church

What is wrong in what obi said
