Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar on Monday said the campaign of calumny and vitriol attacks by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) won't stop him from clinching victory in the 2023 general elections.

Spokesperson of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization, Kola Ologbondiyan also chided Professor Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) over his claim that Atiku will turn southerners to servants of the North if elected president.

Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, the former PDP National Publicity Secretary said the APC turned a blind eye to negative comments made by its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu while struggling to whip up sentiments with the thoughtful remarks made by Atiku at the weekend in Kaduna.

Ologbondiyan said " This campaign of calumny by the APC and their presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will not stop Atiku from winning the 2023 presidential election".

"Where were they when Asiwaju declared in Osun that members of Labour Party will labour till they die? Where were they when he told Nigerians who are demanding answers to his capacity of presiding over 200 million people to shut up their mouths?"

"Where were they when Tinubu went to Ekiti at the inauguration of their new governor and declared that Ekiti people do not know Atiku and they do not know Peter Obi and so they should vote for him".

"When we talk about harmony in our nation, a democratic order and unity, Tinubu is the lowest person to speak to these issues in our country Nigeria because he is not known to have encouraged pan- Nigerianism in all his political history".

"The only candidate in the political firmament today who is known by association, relationships and bridges he has built across Nigeria is Atiku Abubakar".

"His victory at the PDP presidential primary was won across ethnicity and geo- political zones. That is why no matter the campaign of calumny by the APC, Nigerians will continue to support him. He is the only candidate that Nigerians are looking up to in order to unite our country".

"Leaders like Itse Sagay should encourage unity in our nation and not division. What he is canvassing for is a campaign of calumny against the only candidate who has shown us that he has what it takes to unite this country".

Atiku & Thïefnubu may be better polithiefcians but I consider Obi a better Leader than both of them.
None of the two thieves would have emerged as candidate if not that they deployed their loots during the Primaries to bribe the delegates. cool

How any southerner can plan to vote Atiku is a conundrum.

We should not have 16 continuous years of Northern presidency, any more than we should have 4 consecutive terms of Southern presidents.

Many Northerners understand and agree.

Yet, some southerners just don't get that it will result in an irreversible domination of many parts of national life by one group.

Vote PDP in your governorship, senate, house of rep etc, but please don't do so for presidential.

Please think of the young generation coming behind you.
