Bergwijn didn't ball at Spurs, everyone knew that.

If you still want us to consistently drag for 6-8th position, then yeah, Haller is a good replacement for Auba wink

What do you mean by technical foul In penalty area. Are you justifying it was a right decision to gift that penalty? That we conceding that penalty was a good one because Bamford had an open goal? In fact, did bamford had an open goal leading to that penalty?

I don't understand how someone will say you need to do technical foul to get a penalty just to prevent a goal? No coach advice it and will never do such unless it's last minute of the game (or almost last minute) and there's no other option.
And for info, any 'technical' foul that denies an open goal opportunity is a red card. Whether technical or not... It's a red card cos that's the rule. You can't have it both ways.

You think if Bamford was really on an open goal, Saliba wouldn't have been red carded? (whether it's a mistake or not).

Omo, this is the first time I'm seeing someone glorifying conceding a penalty sha. Something all teams avoid no matter what and all attacking teams pray to have.
I think you are taking things a bit far and making it sound like all I meant is that conceding a penalty is a good thing in football and wins you points.

You forget that you brought up a scenerio and asked for judgement on whether a defender should allow an open shot on goal or concede a penalty. Repeat.

Is it better for a defender to allow a shot on open goal (with only the keeper to beat) or concede a penalty?

My response is this, that coaches always asked their players not to miss their man if they miss the ball- this is a very common mantra unless you have never kicked a ball in public. My only drawback on this is the risk of getting red carded which must be considered especially if there's enough time to play.

I am yet to get your contrary opinion. All you have been doing is make me sound wrong.

I disagree with this... Saliba was already in control. It is either he clear the ball or Ramsdale catches it. The way he handled the ball was foolish.
In the past that handball would not have been given because it was more like ball to hand. It was not deliberate. Just that new rules demand penalty if any hand ball or ball hand (whatever it is) happens inside the box. Same thing happened against Liverpool and it was overlooked due to proximity.

Such fouls are not carded (I am not too sure though). That's what I wanted Jodera to see.

Like any penalty we concede now, Spy would always think it's the right decision and that nothing can be done to avert it.
If any team go with that mentality eh, relegation no go sure for them?

Even Var regulates what the ref sees how much more coach. Moreover, nothing concerns ref with offsides as that's really at the discretion of Var (reason why you never see ref go to pitchside monitor to have a look). So as long as it's Offside, there's nothing ref or even coach can do. All rights points to Var
Everything concerns the ref if the offside leads to a goal bro. Countless number of goals has been ruled out due to a player being offside. The ref may choose to ignore like the one on Sunday

When Sol Campbell tore their hearts into shreds by turning down an offer from United, run down his contract to sign for us remains one of my happiest moments against Spuds. ESR's injury situation gives me concern. This was the season I was hoping he could establish his place and relevance in the 1st team but he has struggled with nagging injuries. His is projected to return sometime in December and I pray there is no relapse because he is such a talented kid that I want to see succeed, especially when you consider he is a Hale End product.

Get well soon bro!

1..If this is the question you asked in the first bolded, then the answer is yes. I gave you examples in Saliba ystdy who allowed Bamford a free run to take a shot at goal after his error even when he had the opportunity to "engage". I gave you another example with Ramsdale and Vardy with more recent one in Pope and Rashford this weekend. All these people had the opportunity to engage the attacking player but they preferred the player a free run on open goal and in the case of Saliba, he allowed Bamford a free run on one on one with Ramsdale.

2.. As for the 2nd bolded. That instructions work only when attacking players are outside the Penalty box and never inside. No coach will ever ever tell you do that nonsense inside the penalty box and that's the issue of this our differences. Even Simeone and Mourinho, two of the world's aggressive coaches never ever allow their players to be aggressive in the box. You think if Gabriel slide Richarlison outside the Penalty box, there would be backlash?

My contrary opinion is that, no team should try to concede a penalty, no matter what. No team should have a choice to gift his opponent a penalty no matter the situation except if it's last minute or almost last minutes of the game and it's an open goal . Anything aside that, penalty should be avoided at all cost

You implying that it's good that Saliba handled the ball just to prevent an open goal from Bamford is totally wrong. Worst part is that Bamford didn't even have an open goal to score from in that sequence leading to the penalty

That ball is never a ball to hand. How many handballs are deliberate?

Any any handball Is carded (whether deliberate or not), as long as it stops any goalscoring chance(whether it's a big chance or not).

That's the reason why Saliba was carded even though his handball wasn't deliberate.

And please don't confuse goal-scoring chances with open goal chance please.

I'm sorry if I sound so but that's how it you made me understand it grin

If you feel that Saliba handling that ball in the Penalty area(whether deliberate or not) or Gabriel conceding a penalty against tottenham is a good decision for us to concede a penalty, then It'll be difficult to know how else to put it undecided

I didn't dispute the bolded but what I'm saying is that ref never makes any decisions concerning offsides. It's only Var. Any other thing aside offsides (fouls, penalties, violent conduct or sort) is within ref right to check the pitchside monitor.

Okay, let's do this. Anytime an Offside call is being reviewed, if ref doesn't go with what Var says but goes to the pitchside monitor to check things out, just call me out.

I read he is suffering from this "growth spurt" especially in his groin region or sort which is a rare condition and that's what really have been affecting him. So he was advised to go on this surgery to get it done especially for his future seeing he won't be making the world cup anyway.

Since he's done the surgery successfully and he's healing, I believe we'll get to see the best of him from December/January. It's said he needs to be carefully managed and that's what Arsenal are trying to do.

He'll come back better cool
