Commuters who wanted to reach Ahoada in Rivers State, from Bayelsa State, had to wade through waist-high water to pass through the flooded road.

In this video, citizens used ropes to guide and stabilise themselves on the watery journey. In the harsh situation however, a young man still found reasons to smile as he held a lady on the journey to prevent her from falling in the water

My bags of gari must have soaked water, thankgod I did insurance, my rivers customers a custard of gari is 3000k effective from today, a bag is 40k, as I have to choose other costlier routes.

Natural disaster happens every where in the world. The only problem is how we respond and mitigate against future occurrence especially in cases like this that a simple drainage system would have helped. Unfortunately, the government would want you to believe it’s ‘Natural’ to justify their incompetence and corruption.
