They (former presidents and ex-governors) are supposed to even return the salaries they took while in office, because there is nothing to show for it; rather, they worsened the situation of the country and their states.” Apt. |

I don't like reading articles like this that will spoil my day. Nearly 190 Million Nigerians dey cry of hunger but less than one hundred Nigerians dey share billions for simply making the 190 million Nigerians hungry and poor. What it means is that the 190 million of us are paying the very people that made us hungry , poor and jobless billions of naira for making us hungry and poor. No be JUJU BE THAT? !! The funny thing about our situation is that when you speak up for the good of the 190 million of us, it is Inspector Okon, Inspector Ade and Sgt Musa , who are also part of the suffering 190 million that will dehumanize you in the name of arresting you because of the 45 thousand Naira they get every month. |

You are being mischievous with your headline. The pension covers hundreds of people. I don't like these folks but hey, it's their entitlements, let's stop whipping up sentiments and be reasonable please. Imagine taking some Toyota or Lexus to Babangida's Minna hilltop mansion garage.. the man would even feel insulted . |

Na all this nonsense pension wey Peter Obi go stop when he comes to power. But because it’s a tricky one, he might just slash it into 4 and leave them with one while they remaining 3 will be channeled to something productive. |

mrvitalis:This is why the country remains underdeveloped. Over the years, majority of the money in the country is sent to individual account and not invested in infrastructure. That's why the country can remain in darkness after $16b was budgeted for power. Because instead of being used to build infrastructure for power, the $16b was shared by individuals. |

I see nothing wrong with the payments for Former Presidents and their Vice. Before the Obj govt or so started the payments, Past Presidents like Shagari were living like paupers. It won't be nice to see my Gej or another Former president feeding from hand to mouth abeg. My problem is with state govs. Theirs should be stopped or provisions for cars and other fringe benefits should be cut off. |

The rich keeps getting richer while the poor ones keeps getting screwed. Some would even got to the extent of fighting each other, imagine hated and haunted by the same poor men you're trying to fight for against the same government who never cares about them in the first place. |

mrvitalis:13.8 billion cannot reposition university...especially if the university is as large as UNN, ABU or UI. That's ust approx 31m dollars. Meanwhile Harvard spends something like 6 billion dollars per annum. Enginering labs...need more than 13.8 billion...if they are doing high end R and D. Hospital? Tertiary style...60 m dollars...twice the 13.8 billion. |
