Don't you even dare! Logging 446 minutes in 20 days, including distant travels back and forth with breaks of 2-3 days is excessive and can lead to burnout.

He played 85 minutes yesterday and in 2 days he will play between 85-90 assuredly against Southampton, that will put his over 530 minutes in 23 days.
I put in 8hours a day for 5days with no breaks. grin

I mean these are professionals. 140mins a week should not lead to burnouts.

Just because they are professional doesn’t mean they should be treated like machines, even machines break down because of continuous usage despite maintenance.

Fatigue doesn’t happen in one day. Fatigue/ burnout is an accumulation of consistent exposure to the stressors (physical/ mental) over a period of time. Should look back to how Saka has been used over the last 3 seasons?

The key point you are making is that they should not be overused. I accept that and believe that the team manager and his backroom staff take it into consideration when selecting the match day squad.

Whenever you see signs of burnout call me out.

We might end up selling him with another 2 years contract being prepared for Xhaka.

This would be a silly move by the club. I have raved about Patino for nearly 3 years now. He will come back and become a part of the first team. Xhaka deserves a contract conversation based on his performance this season but I don’t know about him remaining a starter after this season.

U call that loose Ball? A ball that was played into space for the striker to make a run for.

Maybe u should watch the clip again

Sanchez even Fvcked up coming off his line knowing that he couldn't use his hands.

If Sanchez had stayed put, the probability of Haaland scoring would have been lower. Nice pass from Ederson too

Lol, Patino is still young. Two years extension for Xhaka will never In anyway affect him.

It's good he's excelling on loan where proper men are. If I'm the board, next season I'll probably loan him out again but this time to a top division in France, Germany or Spain

Exactly he left the defenders vulnerable to commit
Because one of them could injure him
Ederson pass was chaotic because the first bounce was Infront of that dorkaki warrior

One of the stick I do have with Arteta is that he hasn't promoted any youngster from the academy. Hutchinson for example is someone I believe was disappointed because of the buying of Marquinhos which made him not to renew and fly to Chelsea as it seemed the getting more game time might be harder than initially envisaged.

I just hope we try to integrate Patino when the time is right, not that we'll start buying another youngster in his position again when we already have one

I'll be sad if we let go of the guy. Azeez is another talent I wish to see in the first team.
Both can be used as backups.

Arteta is more focused on that 15-year old. Hopefully, Patino will be back in the fold soon.
