i still don't understand how someone would blame gabriel for that goal, me sef no get time to argue so i better no go on with the talk. i think just like someone stated some days ago fatigue is the major issue here. the intensity with which arsenal starts their first half always drop into the second half at least that have been the case in the last three games or so. the first eleven really need to rest this week i believe our second team can hold psv even if na draw dem get. |

The problem is not resting our first eleven, it is the fact that we can't name a strong team. Check this .. Turner Cedric Zinchenko Holding Reuel Walters Sambi Smith Vieira Marquinhos Nelson Nketiah This team will be struggle to contain Zurich. |

Even though I stan the guy, Vieira is looking like a waste of fund. He did nothing meaningful today. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 7:13pm On Oct 23, 2022 |
mostob:. he can't rest the whole team for 90mins, he can start kt3, holding, gabriel(i trust his fitness level) and tomi in defense. sambi, viera and xhaka(another fitness monster). nketiah, marquinhos and nelson in attack. then depending on the result of the game in the closing minutes, he can either bring in reinforcement in attack, midfield or defence but should be of less minutes remaining. we can't afford to looseguard against forest as the are still trying to gather momentum and might cause alot of damages(what the did to us in fa cup abi na league cup still dey my mind.) my most worry is the continues use of saka name martinelli in all matches and partey too, especially partey knowing how fragile he is. |

GRANITE XHAKA appreciation post. man has been outstanding so far. he lacks pace but he now compliments that with his positioning and somewhat clear vision. for fablo viera, i think he can only excel when the midfield is strong and arsenal is dominating else he will just ghost, ozil kind of player with a touch of cazorla cus of his powerful left feet. |

sod09:Bringing in Holding (to play as a CF) would have made more sense. Zero contribution today. |

Spy360:We have looked lethargic since the Liverpool game. We are only 11 games into the season and the evidence(s) of fatigue are obvious. We have not even played FA Cup sef. This team is being poorly managed/ rotated. There is a reason this is a burning question week in week out for Arteta. |

mostob:When I dey talk how we need to deh integrate/promote players to give dem game time, it's because of issues like this. Now it's looking as if we don't have bench and as if our depth is poor. Cedric, Nelson and at least one academy needs to play against PSV second leg. Arteta needs to rotate wisely and know when to let a player skip a match totally. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 9:56pm On Oct 23, 2022 |
germaphobe:Viera and Odegaard na the same specimen dem be. If we're dominant, you'll see the best of them. If match turn rugged and opposition dey bring fire to our face, you'll see dem Odegaard dey ghost like Houdini. |

We need ESR back to Mann that LW in case of any Martinelli rest or absence. Nketiah at RW no dey impress me at all(both Against PSV and today's game), it's either Cf or nothing. I dunno what's wrong with G.Jesus but we need him back at his clinical best. The way that match was going, we needed that 2nd goal as we were getting almost dominated. I dunno whether is tiredness or what, but that ball in which he missed when free on goal really came back to haunt us. We just hope to have our Jesus back. We lack depth in critical key areas. Partey, and Saka needs depth and very good deputy. I'm just afraid of Saka, if he has any small knock then our right side might be effectively over I've never been in support of Tomi playing Lb after that liverpool game. Why can't he just allow Tierney play his position with Zinchenko out. Tierney offers more Attacking output on that left than Tomi and he isn't a slouch defensively either |

Jodera: Roland17:This was me after the Liverpool game. Arteta is over analyzing the game to the detriment of the team now. We have looked flat since Liverpool and seem to be just fighting through games to get results. It’s only 11 games into the season and our important players look out of it. Liverpool/ Chelsea/ Spuds and Maybe Newcastle will have something to say about the top 4 this season and that is why I have been harping on not dropping points from game 1. You are right about Nketiah.. He should be starting as CF, nothin more.. |

Roland17:His inexperience often comes to play on occasions. Tomi was good against Liverpool because it was a surprise move. It should not be the normal especially against lower teams. The attack was blunt because we lacked bodies to overload the opponent's defense. Tomi strengthens the defense but weakens the attack. This is good against stronger teams but not against weaker teams. |

Spy360:no addition no subtractions. As much as we hail Arteta. I hope he doesn't overdo pass himself, cos most times he acts like a cup-winning coach. Yesterday, It was obvious that the boys were jaded and I am waiting to see what his lineup for PSV will be like cos at this point I don't know what we are fighting again, I think we are seven-point clear if I am. there was this young defender he was fielding during pre-season, that dude should play, Cedric is available, Nelson, Marquinhos. all those names on the bench field them, Nwaneri nko. we don't stand to lose anything. One thing is sure, If we get our act right, we can win the league and if care is not taken, Newcastle is into surprise people. we need to buy it in January. Eleney may come back but bobo is not young again so don't expect anything too much from him when he is back, Douglas Luiz or Danilo will not be bad. If we are serious, I believe Edu will be making plans for January now. the draw is a wake up call. |

Yesterday also, the referee did not make anything better, If I was an arsenal player, I would have lost interest in the whole game too, it was like the dude was praying for a player to be injured. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by sod09(m): 9:56am On Oct 24, 2022 |
johnjunior39:Exactly we only need a point to win the group Even if we lose to PSV we will definitely beat Zurich at the Emirates The highest PSV can get is 13points if they win the 2 matches |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 10:11am On Oct 24, 2022 |
Roland17:It's not as if Tierney is bad defensively or offensively sef that he's drafting Tomi to that wing. He's just overthinking and overanalyzing things which no gel. See how Tierney brought verve to our attack when he came on. It's just somehow. It's no coincidence our left side of the attack haven't been active post Liverpool's match |

Spy360:Lol, says someone who always say "if you don't don't get the ball, don't miss the leg" and "it's better to cause a penalty than to allow any potential shot in the box" If that's knowing ball, I don't want to know ball oo ![]() |

Jodera:I feel like he's been more caught up in fighting and winning physical duels with defenders than being more clinical. Like yesterday, defenders where trying to rile him up, they're deliberately shoving and pushing him even when he's without the ball and that is somehow affecting and distracting him imo. He's also been a bit unlucky. |

johnjunior39:Honestly. It was like a wrestling football contest. The way they were flinging our players especially their right back- the Brazilian. He only got a yellow card after headbutting Nketiah. I mean, such officiating should be investigated. |
