TheKingIsHere:Then why wait till September to shoot scenes for spoiler? Spoiler used their influence to get him back by every means, only possible when the old regime were gone and Zaslav so no reason going for a black Superman or rebooting the thing if a deal was to be agreed. He shot scenes in September, if he was back before then, why wait till September to film scenes? Don't tell me it has to do with schedule because once an agreement is reached you are to be committed to the timeline. |

Just finish watching Black Adam. I think the movie is not close to as bad as the critics are making it look. Critics complained about DC movies not being fun, not having heart, having bad pacing and all lack actions and Black Adam delivered on all that yet they still squashed it.. Very funny!!! Imagine critics giving Doctor Stranger: MoM a pass, Thor: L and T a pass but they refuse to do the same for Black Adam, even when it has a better plot, better action scenes, better storytelling and lastly better pacing than both. My main issue still remain ever since they released trailer for it, The Rock needs to go out of his comfort zone. Black Adam doesn't need to speak with American (US) accent. It definitely takes away the true embodiment of the ruthless guy called Black Adam, though he did almost a perfect job playing the guy. 7.7 rating for me. 2 Likes |

abduleez1: James Gunn is crazy good with comic book characters. This guy turned an obscure Guardians of the Galaxy into fan favourites. This guy picked up Suicide Squad, dusted it and polished it and it sparkled. This guy made a hit with Peacemaker of all people. I have no doubts that any DC character that Gunn touches will shine. Minemrys: Zaslav is still one malignant executive as long as he remains top dog and continues interfering in the various divisions and his penchant of accounting system over future potential. But kudos to him for seeing through this decision. This is singularly the best decision he's made all year since being WBD CEO. Check online and see how his name is hardly mentioned despite this move, that's how you'll know how disliked this man is to Hollywood players as well as general audience. You don't want such executive in your studio who's hated in both sides. It's reasons like this that's why I hoped he brought a studio head that he respects as fast as possible. This person would be able to convince him on certain decisions and with the experience of the industry avoid Zaslav's controversial nature. Zaslav did superb bringing two co-heads for DC just like WB Pictures. I'm also glad Mike De Luca was one of the big supporters who pushed for Gunn and Safran to Zaslav. 1 Like |

Minemrys: What PR? That DC Studios would be independent? It might not be 100% independence (I don't think anyone is, not even Feige) but they will be massively free from WB studio execs as they report to Zaslav directly and no stupid bureaucratic bottlenecks where there's too many players who are above DC Films president. Did you know that when a DC executive like Walter Hamada wanted to do Joker, WB big boss Toby Emmerich didn't want the project and in fact reduced it's budget so that would deter the producers hence killing it? But look at today. The rest is history. Why I love this Zaslav decision and appreciate him for it is the duality of the role. I've always wanted him to put a person in that role who's well respected by creatives industry wide and understands the comic book lore on a personal level. As well as a business or industry-wide experienced producer. He perfected it by putting two people at the helm with top track records overseeing the creative side as well as business side. They'll complement each other. Now we can be sure of a perfect blend of big characters as well as the more obscure ones gaining prominence in DC. The future is bright. Zaslav got it right with this decision as well as putting Pam Abdy and De Luca as WB co-CEOs and making Casey Bloys the Chairman & CEO of HBO and HBOMax. Kudos to him in setting WBD in a better position for the future. What he just needs to do is give all of them the level of freedom and trust he gives HBO's Casey Bloys. |

He isn't going to pander to propaganda if there's no sense in it. I like people who know what they want unlike the old guys. I doubt he cares whether they like him he just wants to make money. |
