GloriousGbola:. Countries people japa to ensure security for their farmers and still import rice You stop importing food when you have the capacity to produce excess… 90% of rice eaten in Australia is still imported while they slowly increase their own production. We’ve not even produced toothpick enough for 200million people, it’s rice they are banning |

A40:When you want to fix something that’s not broken, you better make it better. As it stands, price of rice is never going down but minimum wage will remain the same |

obainojazz:This is what happens when you have people in power that don't possess any form of human kindness and compassion How do they expect the average person to survive growing costs of gas, electricity, food, rent at the same time without commensurate increase in income |

GloriousGbola:The naira didn't drop this fast before the saviour that is APC.. But after apc came to save us from being import dependant the whole naira went crashing... Lmao.... You met dollars at 250 and took it to 800 in 7 yrs.. To make it worse you added a needless ban to boost local production through your CBN farmers borrworers programme that was a mess that it took CBN till 2022 to start tracking people they dashed money to... ..You dey mad |

liveLongNprospa:any ADULT will tell you that this was coming. no matter who was in the seat , the naira would have fallen because every previous CBN governor was bolstering the naira with our foreign reserves now our foreign reserves are depleted because the price of oil has fallen, our oil is not in that much demand as before, and our production has been halved but while our income has fallen, our demand and appetite for importation has remained the same. what is happening now is that this govt is taking some of the hard decisions that we should have taken when we had seven ears of corn. if this nation had built and completed rice mills 10 years ago , when we had a much better stream of income, we would be in a better place now. you cannot run an import based economy with no exports and expect to have a strong naira. |

obainojazz:what would your plan have been? import more. import more. import more. brilliant. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 12:07pm On Oct 25, 2022 |
obainojazz:you must have done a lot of desperate googling before you settled on australia, a nation with very hostile environmental conditions why did you not list us, uk, canada, japan? on the one side, you are all wailing about unemployment, but on the other side, you are supporting importation of everything - which places jobs in the hands of the foreigners . no nation becomes wealthy running importation. if peter obi comes in without a plan for indigenous production, but more importation prone business - on the excuse that it is too hard tom locally produce, you will see the naira drop to n2000 |

What is it with the destruction of alcoholic drinks in some northern state? You destroy alcohol yet, collect vat, what do you call this? You destroy citing sharia law yet collect vat of what you forbid. Sod09, bluyraydick, gloriousgbola, a40 how do you see this? Maybe amoto94 can explain to us the ruling of sharia on this matter. |

GloriousGbola:Oga...you just don't have to reply every post cos at times yiur2 reply makes u look devilish i swear... Do you think if Naija rice is 15k per bag people will think of foreign rice going 4 46K or talk about its impacts .... ?Presently local rice is 40k wch cannot be overlook...... When trying to fix what is not even an issue...you start it slowly...... What is d sense in shutting d door to rice importation why you are not strong enough to feed yourself... Jonathan was cursed for corruption but food wasn't much of an issue.... |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by PapalsBull(m): 12:17pm On Oct 25, 2022 |
And we all know except you are an hyprocrite that if the oil in niger delta that is keeping nigeria (which makes northerners to scream "one nijeria dole") and major source of revenue of nigeria was to be in north, there won't be anything called nigeria. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 12:21pm On Oct 25, 2022 |
Segedinho:if dollar is N700, and you are importing rice, do you expect the price of rice to rmain low stop talking about looking devilish - that is the way nigerians talk in the face of inevitable facts have you not seen the prices of ALL imported items or items that require imported materials go up? i posted a link to balance of trade, which should explain it importation without corresponding exports is a vicious cycle - where the value of your currency will continue to drop. importation is not a business model |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by obainojazz(m): 12:25pm On Oct 25, 2022 |

PapalsBull:Bros I will start with I don't take alcohol and it happened in Kano an Islamic state. I kinda support the measure because logically people shouldn't be taking alcohol outside of their home. I read Rico had accident under the influence of alcohol and died, imagine he was driving trailer into a crowd But I have issues with those hisbah police they are one of the most useless police don't be surprised those asshole target some certain tribe or location majorly dominated by another tribe That police is driven with biase and tribal, they also favour rich alhajis to the poor abokis |

liveLongNprospa:Your problem is that you are incapable of any critical thinking. Go back and read my post slowly or get someone who's at least smarter than you to read it to you loudly, maybe just maybe it will sink it. I am only responsible for what I post, I am not responsible for how you interpret it. |
