They are fighting them cuz the government wants the oil alone .

With those pot bellied oil well owners .

See if the regulate those Kpo fire refinaries in a way it won't affect the atmosphere and then reduce risk .

He have gotten ourselves mini refinaries o.

Nigerians, is time we hold marketers accountable for all these scarcity.

Some of these marketers we just cause artificial scarcity.

Is not everything we should be blaming the President.
And who do we blame, ur papa?

where all the agencies collecting millions of naira in salaries & allowances in order to deal with these so called 'sabotage' of marketers & filling stations hording fuel in order to create artificial scarcity. They are full of incompetent people who only go to work to enjoy furnished & Air condition office while doing nothing!!....

In one of d northern states a while back, d governor(I think zulum) had to forcefully go around and make fuel stations hording d products to sell by threatening to revoke Thier license.. Imagine, DPR (whatever they call themselves now) have a big office in dat state with lots of employees doing nothing!!

I wonder why the federal government can't end this fuel scarcity once and for all and move on to bigger challenges.

Well, the problem is that the ex depot price in most private depots has gone up to N170-175 . Meaning that the government does not have enough cash to subsidise fuel to a level where the depots can keep it below N148...

NNPC depots too also don't have fuel.

At the end, the solution is...a price increase, or better still, subsidy goes, the market controls the price, and the fuel flows.

All I know is, when Dangote refinery comes on stream, subsidy better went.

Ending it means removing subsidy...which means that fuel would be costing between N480-500 per liter by now...which most people, including most Buihari and Agbado supporters, as well as opponents, do not want.

This is why the white man said: The black man can never govern himself. He knows nothing but to consume and destroy.

Those were the parting words of the last British as they handed over power to our 1st republic.

Where are we today? Worse than they left us.

Sad thing is, in the 60s and 70s, Nigeria was at par, economically in terms of oil production and its attendant clout, we were equals with Saudi Arabia.

Today, if Saudi coughs, America will start shaking.

Look at all the countries in the world run by black man, they're all in disarray.

And, when a white man tells you there's something fundamentally wrong with the black man...una go begin shout Racism.

Fuel is supposed to cost above N450 per liter...yet we force the sector to sell at N175 per liter.

Naturally, a time comes when the sector can't sustain it...so prices rise.

Those boys in the creek of Niger delta can assist with this scarcity.

Olodo without understanding please don't quote if u don't understand.
1.That would lead to massive pollution in the Niger Delta...which already worsens the pre-exisitng pollution there. Note that Dangote before building his refinery did something called an Environmental iMPACT assessment test...which then guides how his refinery is built.

2.Many of those illicit refineries are NOT SAFE. And are prone to accident. Poeple would die....

3.Many of these refienries don't observe occupational health...meaning long term, more of the people working there are going to fall ill with chronic illnesses from exposure to pollutants...because an illegal refinery makes no provision for protection...either for workers, or in the building. And guess whose healthcare system is going to be burdened with the casualties...

4.The quality of the fuel is bad. If it is pumped into our cars, it would overtime damage our cars. Not now, not in 4 years, but eventually. (There is a reason why some marketers abroad advertise their fuel as engine protective...it has been refined to high quality). Bad quality fuel damages the cars

5.Who told ye they would pay taxes?

I have read, and still stand by my post.

Either the boys get some money or loans together, get a technical partner, and start a proper refinery...with safety, and occupational health standards followed, refining proper quality petrol, or they get out of the business.

I still stand by my post. You no like...sorry. There is no way a refinery won't 'affect the atmosphere' by the way...and not all chronic occupational illnesses are caused by inhaling gasses.

I stand by my post.

There is no safe illegal refinery. No illegal refinery that does not affect the atmosphere.

You read but you didn't read to understand.

America dey produce oil hope you know ?

There was illegal refinaries then ., The government made them legal ,na where that word modular come from abi u no know ?

I simply said make the illegal refinaries legal.

Then build it in away it won't harm the atmosphere, even if it does , it will reduce than the Kpo fire.

Let them pay tax to the government, there will be strict monitoring.

U will never hear anything like fuel scarcity

Like you don't get me

Making illegal refineries legal...without them becoming standard refinereis, that refine fuel to standard, instead of refining crude by burining it in a huge steel container over a fire...with the risk of explosion...is basically creating more problems...

Let the illegal refinereis get a loan or a grant, build standard minirefinereis, have their workers wear safety equipment and hard harts, and observe simple heath and safety checks...then the govt can come and legalize them

Get it?

You are going off topic. Plus shell does not have a refinery...and the illegal pipeline was wrong. (and i did not say that it was right, and you are wrong to think I approve of stealing of crude.).

Let the illegal refineries build standard refineries to refine fuel....then the government can legalize them.

Don't let the governemnt come and legalise a illicit refinery that then explodes like the one that killed 100 people....

I hope you get it.? If not, sorry.

But you are still referring to legalizing the illegal refinaries na .

Weather it is built with glass or constructed by iron . It should be legalized and regulated

Okay, for the last time

LET THE ILLEGAL REFINERIES BUILD LEGAL, SAFE, STANDARD REFIENREIS TO REFINE FUEL...LIKE DANGOTE, BUA,...BUT MINI REFINEREIS....and then the government can legalize them.

But then again, you want people to die in explosions because...cheap fuel.

Again...let illegal refineries first transform themselves into standard refineries...then government can make em legal.

Legalize the illegal refinaries.

Let it be converted from kpo fire to something less dangerous.

Pay tax to government

I laugh you.

Have you ever left your state to see illegal refinaries up close and personal?

How do you think they will build a legal refinery without the aide of government, you think building a refinary is build a mud house ?

Have you seen what a standard refinary looks like ?

Where do you think they will get money from?

Who will give you such loan ?

The government has to convert the Kpo fire into modular/mini it is safer . Cost between 1b to 3b

At least then legalize it shikena
