ceaser:If there is a fire will they really respond to it well?...from lateness to work to the fire fighter supposed to attend to it is not on seat to unethical conduct; Nigerians are not a serious set of people and it's their mindset that needs to change first and foremost before we start buying trucks... |

BigBashiru:Your own mindset is so depressed and compromised that you won't even be able to do anything positive or productive because negativity is all you see in the mirror. Sad how pompous and arrogant people like you look down on other people as if you are the smartest and the always right person that knows everything on the surface of the earth. So, we should not buy fire trucks, what happens when a fire breaks out while you are busy changing your mindset? You will carry water bucket and run to the burning house to kill the fire? See how unintelligent and goofy you sound? It is not by force to comment on the internet. |

And out of all this 423 fire people, ONE could not go and quench the fire that was burning WAEC office earlier this week? |

sharone21:Hehe... ![]() Face front and stop asking question. The good news is that, there are 423 of them. They will be there, isolated in their office.. |

uuzba:Was it your father that carried water to quench the fire in WAEC? If not that you are blind, you would have seen that it was Lagos State fire trucks who put out the fire. |

plaindealer:Is it not in Lagos that if people call 911, the ambulance will lie they are on their way and stuck in traffic when they are not - those are the pompous people. The case of lagos ambulance is a case in point. Nigerians are a lazy set of people and they tend to run things down with their unseriousness - some call it Nigerian factor some call it maintenance culture but the underlying cause is laziness - coming late to wrk, sleeping on duty etc. |

Nastrademus:Una don start una mumu reasoning, instead of calling out ur governors and holding them responsible u r looking for excuses for them while dey suck u dry tomorrow u will blame tinubu Firstly lagos state have more roads network than any other state in Nigeria which simply means there's more to do in lagos than other states, the population of road users in lagos make it terrible for road construction to last for too long compare to state with few population that u can hardly count cars that passes, lagos must have done a single road like 3 time when other states do it just once dis boils down to d population of users......infrastructure in lagos are overstretched Secondly other states that u think have large landmass are mostly bushes, over 70% are bushes and towns and villages are just concentrated in little landmass, in lagos u don't have to travel b4 u enter another LG, u won't even know except u see sign post compare to others that u can travel for hours in d bushes b4 the next LG which are mostly undeveloped and mostly no proper roads network, the only places u can point to is d capital unlike lagos where everywhere is capital on it's own I wonder why most of u don't use ur head b4 typing, always trying to downplay the comparison of lagos achievement to other states, lagos state is not even up to d top 10 states with high state allocations and those state with plenty money we can't see what dey r doing......there r state that the landmass being occupied aside all d bushes r not even up to alimosho LG That u think bcoz other state are big and lagos is small make it easy for lagos and difficult for other big land state shows hw empty headed u r what percentage of the big land is habitable? D most dey can do is do a single road with no drainage system in d bushes linking another village and such projects are mostly federal roads, go to d villages there's nothing, even there capitals if u manage to see good main roads the inner roads are nothing to write home about Make una dey use una head nah |

plaindealer:You went to UK and learnt "goofy". Congratulations on learning white mans language - clap for yourself... I said buying of the fire truck by itself will not make the fire service run smoothly... the persons running it is the problem and has always been the problem. Nigeria has a people problem not a buildings or vehicle problem. The reason nothing works from police to hospitals is because the vast majority of Nigerians are LAZY. |

BigBashiru: BigBashiru:I asked you a question, answer the question. If we don't buy fire trucks, what happens when a fire breaks out while you are busy changing your mindset? You will carry water bucket and run to the burning house to kill the fire? I clearly highlighted your poor mentality and the poor quality of your thoughts as a human being. Yes, you are goofy and you sound intellectually bankrupt for your own good. If they put roadside thinkers like you in charge of the fire service, the whole country go burn down. |
| Re: Lagos Recruits 423 Fire-Officials, Boosts Fire-Fighting Capacity by BigBashiru: 7:50am On Oct 28, 2022 |
plaindealer:What happened to the fire trucks they have already bought and how many fires has it put out? Just in case you do not know, this is not the first time that Lagos State is buying fire trucks. The last time I read of a fire in lagos in the news, the fire fighters arrived only after the fire had razed down the building; there is no sense of urgency in nigeria... Similarly think of hospitals as fire trucks - there are so many hospitals in nigeria yet people die or get worse off when the come out of them instead of getting better because the people running it are lazy. I think i know what the problem is though, you took my comment too literally - I didnt mean they shouldnt buy trucks i meant they should remedy the laziness in the people just as much as they are buying trucks.... I am the person that wasnt clear. Apologies. |

How do you stay productive, fight a fire, and rescue people without the proper tools and equipment necessary to do the job? The firefighters graduated training, they have new purposely built fire stations, and they have new tools and equipment necessary to do their job so is this not what we want as a society? What disgusts me is the culture of bad-mouthing, the lack of any capacity to inspire or formulate better and bright ideas and solutions, some are just too used to trashing when they don't and still trash them when they do, they don't see any good in the next man, it's like they are good and smart and the rest of us are just useless and incompetent, it's just too sad. |
| Re: Lagos Recruits 423 Fire-Officials, Boosts Fire-Fighting Capacity by Cryofigbos: 8:25am On Oct 28, 2022 |
BigBashiru:The issue of getting to location of fire incidents late has been reduced coz they opened four new firefighter offices and renovated others, the best way to get to incident location is by having the stations closer to every corner, infact I believe the best way is to have firefighter stations in every local govt, dis we r moving towards so is better u applaud or u ignore as u have contributed nothing but deluded criticism |

Cryofigbos:the bolded is quite impressive...if you did not have preconceived notions about my crticism, you would hv understood im only trying to improve the system. i dont exchange words with ppl thats why i told the aggressor say i don hear. Even with fire trucks in lga they will still not do their job - they wont fuel it, they wont refill extinguisher - nigerians are lazy and unserious yet demand lots of salary so no matter how many trucks or infrastrure you put in place, things will still be slack due to the human factor (lateness to work, unserious at work, avoidance of stress, etc). |

BigBashiru:We have attitudinal problems in Nigeria and d system is so rotten thanks to us.....an example of what u stated is the issue of nurses in the general hospital, those ppl are collecting fat salaries with bad attitude to work But we will get there, lagos state seems to be a little bit better than other states, if only we can employ ppl by merits and not through all dis political god fathers that will just send someone with no zeal and seriousness for d work |
