We recognised Indians who came here in 1890 as a tribe
We recognised Nubians who came from Sudan in 1910s as a tribe
We recognised Makonds who came from Mozambique in 1940s as tribe
We recognised Shonas who came from Zim in 1960s as tribe.

We want diverse and modern democracy.

Once they are recognised - they get privelleges as minority - they get hired into jobs - are given gov contracts - etc.

A Ghanaian or Nigerian can be in suit and tie a mile away and you'll still be able to identify both respectively.

Both Ghana and Nigeria fostered an identity far back in the 1800s ... Kenya does not have one. That's your own cry at this point.

Immigration officers all around the world can identify a Ghanaian and identify a Nigerian in a que just by looking.
That is how strong both identities have been fostered.
