it's true, This time Last Year, farmers who sold their bushels of rice @ #10,000 were celebrating, today its @ +50% of Last Year price. Many farmers are now saying that Buhari ISSA good President .

Good president, what is your purchasing power?

As at 2017 to 2018, distoning of a bushel of rice was between 200 to 300 naira.

Yampotatocarrot:
Nice, @ OP... Although I feel destoning it will be the issue... Why don't the company destone and sell for 31k... They'll still make enough profit, you fit even add 1k begin sell am at 32k per bag

Awabel in Imo state is 46k with full chest o, without hearing abeg ... So, OP, market dey ground for you... Just destone and sell it

The fact it still has stones is already a complete turnoff for a lot of people

I read on front page how the price of rice per bag is now #50k.

A bushel of rice (25kg) here in Ebonyi state cost #15,000. 2 bushels (50kg) should be #30k .

Though not destoned but distoning shouldn't cost up to 5k,and taking it to Lagos From here shouldn't cost up to 1k per bag. And there rice mills almost in every village throughout IGBEAGU IZZI, Make una come buy Abakaliki rice Abegi.

2. Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland

How exactly did my comment violate rule 2

Rule 2: Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland members OR THEIR TRIBES
Mallam, quote the rule 2 fully. And see if the bolded appears

Rice of N8,500 is now N50,000?

Funny enough, urchins want us to vote Tinubu to make it N200,000 per bag.

Never compare Tinubu's brain with past and present leaders (Military or democratic) excluding OBJ. His ability to identify talents and assemble technocrats to drive the economy stands him out.
