Just tell me our official religion. If you choose traditional worship, then both English and Arabic should be removed. If you choose Christianity, then Arabic should be removed. It's unfortunate that you conflate Arabic script with Islam.

FYI, before the British gave us English language, there was a system already in place, for reading and writing in Northern Nigeria, it was Arabic.

Most people in the North that you call illiterate can read an write in Arabic. Therefore the purpose of the Arabic script on the Naira is for those who are illiterate in English but Literate in Arabic, so that they can understand.

Word of advice, Religion is for the masses, your leaders don't even care about it, let alone you.

For avoidance of doubt and for the sake of those who do not know and cares to know, the text is an Hausa words but only written in Arabic alphabets for those who do not read or write English. It is just like writing 'mèta' which means 3 in Yoruba language using English alphabets.
