I was going around the Odoori market in Iwo, Osun state when I noticed a woman laying the cocoyam in different portions according prices. The price encouraged me to buy plus the fact that it’s been long I ate cocoyams. So, I got 12 pieces of cocoyams at the price of #400. This should last a heavy eater like me two days to finish.

- I want to eat the cocoyams.

- 3 or 4 pieces cocoyam of this size will fill a stomach of an average person but a big eater like me will eat more.

- Of course , I’m eating the cocoyams with red oil like I do eat yam. I dont go well with potatoes though

Don’t think ihave had it before although iam not a fan of yam

Yes, I like my potatoes fried too. You should have taste of cocoyam. Best enjoyed when it is hot, as it gets solid when left for awhile.

Coco yam is best with beans

Wonderful with beans or in a porridge.

you don't inform him how he will be drinking water like Christmas goat , glad you inform him that once he take two or three pieces his belle will quickly filled up

lol. I just bought some cocyam and they are plenty. I just remembered that water part. But why does cocoyam cause dehydration? It’s tightly packed together but once cook it get soft.

am not food scientist but google can help explain why it require sso much water after consumption . Don't cook plenty and eat it while it's hot.

It's just once a while food, you can be eating it every time like yam
