Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has reportdely identified Napoli striker, Victor Osihmen as a perfect replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford, Newspremises reports.

Ronaldo’s two-year deal with the Red Devils, which he signed after his reunion with the team in the summer of 2021, is now in its last months.

Although United might choose to exercise a one-year option in his contract, that is unlikely to happen given the striker’s troubles this year.

The experienced forward has had a terrible start to the current season, scoring only one goal in the Premier League.

Ten Hag wants Victor Osimhen

United appears to be preparing for life without Ronaldo at this point, according to rumours that Ten Hag has chosen Osimhen as the ideal substitute.

The Dutchman is reportedly determined to sign a new, productive center forward because Anthony Martial has a history of injuries and Marcus Rashford has shown uneven play.

According to the article, the club has since created a shortlist of objectives, and Osimhen is near the top of the list.

The Nigerian striker is in hot form for Napoli this term, having already scored 9 goals in 13 matches to top Serie A’s goal scorer charts.

As such, United’s only realistic chance of signing Osimhen would be in the summer and not in January.
