An African adage says that the one who kills people with sword does not allow someone else go past his back with a sword. This adage correctly explains why Atiku is scared to let Ayu resign and allow Wike group produce PDP chairman. But do you know why he’s afraid? Some do, while some don’t. Now, for the benefit of those who don’t, I’ll try to give this little background. In the run on to the 2015 presidential election, Atiku, Amaechi, Sule Lamido, Saraki, Babaginda Aliyu, etc, became the aggrieved members of PDP when it became obvious that Jonathan was going to seek re-election; something the north vehemently resisted because they felt it was their turn. Now, to placate this group, Jonathan conceded the chairmanship of the party to them which led to the ouster of Bamanga Tukur who was the party chairman then, for Adamu Muazu. [/b After succeeding in installing Adamu, the aggrieved group christened themselves New PDP (nPDP) and eventually left the party for the newly formed APC. [b]But their secret agent, Adamu Muazu, remained in PDP and Goodluck Jonathan eventually got the PDP ticket and Adamu was in charge of logistics for Jonathan’s reelection bid. Needless to say that every plan of the PDP towards winning the 2015 election was supplied, in toto, to the rival APC. No surprises that as INEC was announcing the result of the presidential election, Adamu Muazu was on the next available flight out of the country because he feared Jonathan might come after him. Adamu did not return to Nigeria until sometimes around 2018. Now, like deja vu, Atiku is seeing the script they played on Jonathan about to be played on him. Like the nPDP installed the party Chairman before leaving in 2015, the G5 are making similar demand in preparation for 2023, and no one knows what their next move will be even if Atiku accedes to their demand. Atiku is likely scared that if he surrenders the party leadership to Wike and his men, they might grab the party structure and sabotage his chances from within just like they did to Jonathan. And as it stands today, Atiku seems fried no matter which side he swings. If he decides to call the bluff of the G5, he’s fried; especially as the G5 seems poised to sign a new member and increase their number. If he decides to accede to the demands of the G5, he’s fried because that would be like handing your scrotum to the enemy’s hand. We hear IBB has been drafted to broker peace but let’s see what that yields and who blinks first. Penguin is a bird of reason.

Why is Wike and his fools afraid of Ayu should be the right questions. Wake up, PDP has moved on. |

It's funny how some of you guys reason. Atiku does not have the power to remove the chairman. Wike and his G5 put Ayu as chairman, they should remove him. You guys should leave Atiku alone. |

sleek214:But Jonathan had the power to remove Vincent Ogbulafor when he succeeded Yaradua; and Bamanga Tukur to placate your Atiku and his men when they became dissident against the PDP that is their darling today? |
| Re: PDP Crisis: Why Is Atiku Afraid To Let Ayu Go? by Penguin2(op): 10:02pm On Nov 11, 2022 |
Felimax:Those who matter in PDP are going hand in cheek to IBB to beg him to beg Wike and his men to support Atiku. But a Nairaland keypad warrior is saying PDP has moved on. Isn’t that funny? |

Penguin2:Get out! Wike is over hyped. What is actually stopping the rascal from supporting Tinubu? Ayu goes nowhere and there is nothing your foolish governor can do about it but dance and rant. Let him go to other South South states to say his nonsense before I can take him serious. As it stands now in South South politics Wike is nothing. Did you listen to Okowa when he was talking on Arise TV? If it was Wike it would have been a dead mission for PDP. Call me Nairaland warrior or what you like but one thing is a fact, Wike is a goat among the sheep. How can a governor be so childish as to be tearing posters and banners of perceived political enemies? What if he later makes peace with them tomorrow? Tinubu banner at Eliozu torn apart, Atiku own before Nkpolu the same thing. We are watching him and we want to see what will return the idiot back to PDP. |

The gang of five are playing mind games waiting to strike at the right time. Ayu's position adds nothing and removes nothing. |

Atiku is confused! I do not know what is aspiring Atiku to believe he can go head to head with His Excellence, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu! He has lost the Eastern block votes and become irrelevant in the West! Atiku needs to have a rethink and stop wasting his loots! Asiwaju is clearly way ahead of him and its beyond redemption! He should take a vacation with Genevieve Nnaji and enjoy life! 2023 is not for him! |

What do you expect? He feels threatened that whoever Wike might impose will work against his election. He however has failed to realise that it's the turn of the south in the person of His Excellency, President Peter Obi!! Come May 2023, Nigerians will be the most happiest set of humans on Mother earth when H.E Peter Obi is sworn in!! |

Every logical human being knows that changing a Party chairman at this crucial moment is more like a political suicide it will completely destabilise the party. Wike knows this but he is just being a baby, Wike thought that Ayu collaborated with the rest of the Aspirants at the primaries hence the reason for his vendetta against Ayu. If not tell me why would he bother about party chairmanship at this moment, what's his gain? Anyway I know they will iron out their problems |

PDP had 16yrs of devastated rule , APC came on for 7+yrs, killed & buried the little hope of aspirations and dreams of its citizens.. Nigerians, it's time to kick out this two miserable parties out of our political space. LP is the hope of the common man, Vote Wisely...

There are also governors that will leave PDP if Ayu is removed just because they don't act drama doesn't mean they should be underated. Only a foolish party will change chairman around election time |
| Re: PDP Crisis: Why Is Atiku Afraid To Let Ayu Go? by NastiLord: 7:05am On Nov 12, 2022 |
The timing is wrong. You just can't kick out the national chairman of a party with just about 3 months to elections. It will cause a lot of chaos |

Penguin2:Lies no one is begging Wike. Wike and his bunch of clowns carried their old shaky legs to go and meet Bala Mohammed despite knowing that Bala Mohammed already met with Atiku. They came for a soft landing, it was Wike that said he is open for reconciliation and that Benue clown shamelessly apologised. Atiku has moved own, he went ahead to continue his campaign in Borno when all of this was going on. It was Wike and his 4 Zombies that were running helter skelter hovering and hanging on air looking confused. |
