My own is always from Serbia, Ukraine mostly Russia in fact am so tired but I don't bother to flash them back.

It happens to me too, on my Glo line. I hardly use the line, so I don't even care about the flashing.

Simply dont call them back, cos if u do all ur credit and bank details will automaticaly transfer to their phone. Cos i no a close friend that runs it

You can block the number, so as the scammers will not keep flashing you again.

I thought I was the only one experiencing it, I was thinking of God has sent me a helper when I first experience it.

My brother, even me ooooo, sometimes I saves the number and then chat the person up on whatsapp. Asking if he or she called me, but non has ever agreed to have called my number.

Then they get heavily paid as a commission for referring people to a premium call rates that likely pinch adverts to the listeners.

Those are premium rate numbers. You can get one online. Fix you price eg $2.50 per minute.
Once someone calls the number he pays 2.50 per minute. The telecoms company shares it with you.
The idea then is to attract calls to that line.
So the scarmer flashes so many people and when they call back he makes money the longer he keeps you online.
That is why when you call the number your hear teleprompter etc.

Thanks for the explanation. I'd always been at a loss as to why I get flashed these random international numbers. I found out some were international calling codes of countries like Netherlands which got me more confused as I have no contacts in those countries.

I also wondered why "flashes" instead of outrightly calling. By the way, this problem is on one of my glo numbers, recently purchased. It does not happen to my old glo numbers or other networks too.

I've never called back cos to me it makes no sense for anyone out there to expect me to call from Nigeria knowing that I will spend more to do that than if he or she calls me.

By the way, attached is another WhatsApp scammer that I just laugh at his/her foolishness with the message sent.

A lot of times I get flashed very early in the morning when there's the tendency you'll jump up to take the call. Other times I get the calls late at night when I may be sleepy.
Taking such call may even activate something untoward, so I dont make such attempt.

I got similar flash from a Congo Brazzavil number last week, then this week I got added to one scam WhatsApp group asking me to invest #5000 and gain 50000 in an hour time.
