KennethEnyi:overpopulation is a tricky issue... experts thought reducing the birth rate would do the trick... turns out it only brings problems in the near future (Japan and China's population policies are notable references). the most effective method to check overpopulation is to have an economy that can accommodate everyone comfortably. but alas, na Naija we dey... our options are quite grim; nationwide famine, civil war part two, a very strong virus outbreak. like I said, quite grim. 3 Likes |

yet Nigerians will still birth 10 kids in the poverty. The US population when they got independence in 1776 was 2.5 million and grew to 17 million by 1840. Compare that to nigeria population of 45 million during independence to 200 million now in just 60 years. Its too many people and mouths to feed in an already poor country.
