I really don't understand what car mileages mean in cars ,is it low mileage or high is okay? |

Low mileage = Short distance High mileage = Long distance Which means a vehicle with low mileage hasn't covered much distance which is better but a vehicle with high mileage has covered a lot of distance which would sometimes lead to the engine packing up anytime soon. Mind you, there lots of vehicle on our roads with mileages over 300k plus running pretty well with no troubles. |

saysugar: Yes it's okay but that isn't a guarantee that the engine might be in good shape in most cases, maintenance history also matters too, and also a VIN check would reveal awhole lot about the vehicle. The mileage here is 118,358 km. Ain't no car expert though

Sometimes, you should be wary of cars with low mileage. Most have issues or have been parked for a long time without use or sparingly used. That a car has high mileage doesn't mean it ain't good. As someone already suggested, get a good mechanic to inspect, scan and check well. 1 Like |

saysugar:You should be more concerned with how well it was maintained. A 250k mile car with oil changes every 5k miles is in far better shape than a 100k mile car with only 3 oil changes. |
