Good evening house. I plugged my 12V 1.5kva Yohako inverter that is not up to a month to charge via Nepa this evening and the fan has refused to come on. At a point the alarm starts, I believe it's because of high temperature. Pls what could be the problem and how do I fix it.

Please use an ac surge protector and over voltage protector for that inverter.you must have a good earth attached to that inverter

Can anyone suggest a low-idle inverter that can power a laptop of the following power specs?

ø4.0, 65W AC Adapter, Output: 19V DC, 3.42A, 65W, Input: 100~240V AC 50/60Hz universal

We already have a nice setup back at home, but I need an inverter that can charge just my laptop when I'm away from home... and probably power one bulb and a 55w fan.

Can this go with a 100ah battery? if yes, what quality battery would you recommend? I don't need solar. light is quite stable here. just need backup.

Thanks in advance.

How are you finding the Felicity?

I can help with the Deye inverters. I've got one myself

How do I contact you Boss? or you can ring me up on 08033252184
I still need the Deye, what KVA / KW do you have?

Bros, you understand perfectly what I'm talking about jarre.
I have Felicity 5KW x3.

Abeg where can I buy this Deye 3phase inverter? everywhere I have been, they are selling the single phase models.
I went to another vendor yesterday who has the capacities I want 10kw/12kw 3 phase but with little or no knowledge about what to answer to my questions. and I don't want to pay N2m+ just to try out something and be dissapointed.

While Victron might be a robust machine, I am not fan of systems that you hav to buy so many auxilary devices to acheive all the efizi you desire in your power room. DEYE or MPP Solar are pretty decent machines that doesn't need much aux devices but the problem now is: WHERE TO BUY?
Nigerian dealers go as far as detaching modules from these machines and will sell them to you as addons. Dollar too no let person drink water drop cup. One would simply buy from abroad and have peace.

All being said, no going back on the 3 Phase system,

Abeg who knows where I can buy DEYE 3phase 8kw / 12kw or MPP Solar 10KW / 12Kw?? Abeg make una help a brother.
Boss, drink your water and drop the cup..... You've started it and you've to finish it. Anything you do now that doesn't give you rest of mind/required taste will put a hole in the entire system.
I'll advise you to summon courage and get what you want from outside.
Some of us here bought products outside when dollar was higher than what's today and we're happy with it.
Best of luck.

I'm a regular installer of Prag Servo Regulators as shown in some of my pixs below.

I'm wondering if you are aware that the 220V displayed on the regulator is actually not the output voltage reading (I search this forum and the entire nairaland to find out if this has been mentioned any were but couldn't fine any). It is just a number reading permanently on the LED screen. the output voltage also varies with the input to as low as 180v like in one occasion that public power supply was 164v.

To me, that is deception.
Well that's a personal opinion though.

Thank you so much for this. I've been searching Google wondering what the hell is going on .....if I have a faulty stabilizer or not.

I installed mine 2 days ago and that 220V output has been stressing me out because my Watt Meter and Inverter have the same reading unlike the stabilizer. Those two devices will be showing Output Voltage of 240V but the stabilizer output display will always be on 220V.

Sometimes it outputs the same input voltage as long as the input voltage stays within 200 - 240V

It's only the input that varies. To think I used to rate the brand highly

I'm not the owner of said inverter as it belongs to my bro. Just asked him and he said the yellow indicator stops blinking but still remains on, likewise the battery indicator stops the filling animation on the display. It'll be wise to invest on a battery monitor (with a shunt) to stop second guessing.

UPDATE: I finally installed my solar panels and a 15kva central stabilizer 2 days ago. Got home this evening to see the charging light has stopped blinking. Hallelujah. grin grin

Na this fan that is always on dey stress me now. I read on some forum that it the brand stuck a continuous load fan inside the inverter, there's nothing I can do about it. undecided

I believe that blinking light comes on when the battery is in absorb mode because the same thing happens in my tbh inverter. If I may ask, what is the capacity of your battery and for how long does the blinking light stay on?

Sorry I'm just seeing this. I sometimes forget how Nairaland works.
The tall tubular battery setup is 24v 440ah.
The yellow blinking light never went out until this evening when I got home. It had stopped blinking and stayed fixed.

Please recommend a setup design for me.

Beginner.

Solar Panels may not be possible this time (due to location and cost) but would prefer a system where adding panels/charge controller would be easy later.

Max Load:

Lights = 150 watts total (all won't be on at once)

Fans: 60 x 3 = 180 W total

1 TV. = 120 W Max

1 Decoders, 1 TV Box = 30 Watts

1 Laptop. = 65 Watts

Obligatory phones charging

Please I need a big favour.

Help me spec out a shopping list of quality equipment for this installation.

I know that if I add properly sized panels later I may be able to use a fridge during daytime etc, but I just need to get something going with grid+gen charging for now.

I don't want to buy/waste money wey I no get please.

Please, I need recommendations please, I just need something to power my laptop and phone for up to eight hours. Preferably one that charges with solar exclusively because where I am now has no electricity for now.

I am very limited on budget, say 50-70k. I have been thinking if going for solar is just the best or just getting a generator. Please help.

Better, as it's one sure way to limit pricing options.

It's imperative to state best price in all items posted, if you truly want potential buyers to reach out to you.

No sir. I won't call or DM. Display specification and price here, if I'm interested I'll then call for specific information. Specification and price are general information that everyone should have about your product without needing to call.

For me, asking someone to call for price is red flag - lack of transparency.

Buy small gen and manage for now. Since you have no grid supply in your place, solar generator won't help you too. Except if you can raise your budget.

BUY 1 OF THOSE SMALL power packs sold by fapemz / cooldipo.....i think they output 12v and have a 12v charging input port then buy 1 unit, or best if you can make it 2 units of 100w or 150w solar panel.---- about 25k each....then get a small 20amps pwm charge controller - abt 10k, and a small 12v 300w inverter, 13k to 18k.. and you are good to go. this may exceed your budget slightly, but if u do ur research well and is willing to put in some work, you can achieve ur aim at an affordable price

Please, is it possible for one pv string and one battery bank to run two inverters via changeover switch?
A case of total off grid where inverter A (say 5kw 48v hybrid) could be powered in the day and switch to inverter B (say 3.5kva 48v with standalone Mppt CC) in the night via changeover switch.
POINTER: One pv string and one battery bank (Lfp) tide to the two inverters.
