VaginaMiners: May another calamity like you never befall Nigeria again in the name of citizenship. Your head is certainly full of animal droppings, not brain. Quote me again if all I've written here is true. Don't quote me if you are a product of rape metted on a woman with perpetual vagina odour. The choice is yours. Again, death to all Tinubu supporters. 3 Likes 1 Share |

mrvitalis: Eyah. The thing pain this Igbo man. The North is more productive. The North contribute over 40% to the GDP via Agriculture. While the East contribute ZERO. Now the North has oil. Remember, the North is sitting on hundreds varieties of Mineral Resources. But the East, apart from the Coal in Enugu, na red mud full everywhere. 11 Likes 2 Shares

mrvitalis: Even if it will cost $20 billion dollars to link up to Kaduna Refinery, FG will do it. Since the North contribute so much to the Economy. But if it were the East, FG won't waste any Kobo. Since the Region contribute ZERO to the Economy. 6 Likes

Almaigaa: Most Oil pumped out from the hinterland, comes from Igbo villages. All the gas deposits for which you're building your pipelines to Niger will come from the core Eastern states. Kwantiniu with your unruly mouth and we will soon tell ESN to close the taps so that you fund your almajiris budgets with receipts from your nama sales and your ubiquitous "groundnut pyramids ".. 9 Likes |

ArewaNorth: What we know so far: 1. Crude oil and gas has been discovered in commercial quantity in those two fields and others yet to commence. 2. NNPC ltd has, as part of PIA the needed room to push for the exploration of these resources. 3. Govts has acknowledged putting in place measures to ensure scenarios for on the ND do not repeat themselves. 4. Its said those fields hold more gas deposits than crude oil (which is in excess of a billion barrels, no figures for gas yet). 5. Nigeria is championing building of a trans saharan gas pipeline to Europe, this will be a significant factor and advantage to this project. Its hopefully going to be 4 decades of devt now for the north and Nigeria. 4 Likes |

mrvitalis: See the bigger picture. The north is north interested in ferrying their crude oil to Europe in exchange for dollars pounds and euro printed in the white man's backyard. They are saving their gold... they're now drilling crude oil. Next, The north will get a perfectly working refinery to refine their crude oil and boost production and productivity in their region... They already have a son, Dangote, who will make this happen for them by first testing and gaining experience using southern oil revenue to build his own refinery in Lagos through his brother who is president. While southerners are externally divisive and greedy and won't allow things work for the common good of all... No refinery in the south is working... Europeans keep paying the thieving southern politicians and those in position of power to steal crude oil from south and ferry to Europe to aid their production. Southern people who have become more sheepy than sheps say nothing. They'd rather go about their business and steal and cheat others in their own little than challenge the status quo, thanks to the white man's religion, Christianity, that has helped brainwash the southern people and turned them into zombies who can't think and stand up to challenge their thieving leaders. What a shame 6 Likes |

mrvitalis: You made some points but you don't have to make it seem like you want to rain on their parade. Let's look at the bright side of it. Finding out in the North will make some Nigerians to feel less entitled since it's now found in almost every region. Again, who says more finds can't be made? Nigerians Delta reserves didn't get to 35 billion barrels in 1957 when oil was first discovered in Oloibiri, rather it grew over time. Of course, they can't be looking at export market now since the cost of building and maintaining pipelines from the deposits to the port will be very expensive. Northern Nigeria is agonisingly too far from the coast and it would grossly affect their economy in terms of cost of international trade. It has been calculated that for every mile traveled inland, the cost of imports/exports increases. That is why having a port closer to the North is crucial for their survival otherwise, they would forever remain relatively poor. Unfortunately, they failed to see the economic benefits of having River Nigeria dredged and Onitsha port functional. If Onitsha port is functional, barges could be used to move goods to Baro or at least help in cutting the distance to the coast by half. 4 Likes |

ArewaNorth: Great development. I am ecstatic. I am even on my knees praying this becomes a commercial reality so North can be very wealthy if they pipe crude through North Africa to Europe to supply the continent. Dollars and pounds aplenty for the North. Hopefully Northerners will then ease up on 'one Nigeria' and leave the South, particularly SW I am from, for us to chart our own independent way forward. I honestly believe the North, until she finds a major multi-billion dollars per annum injection of sustainable cash, will never allow Nigeria develop. I don't go to church but will be doing so to pray this works out for the North. I am not joking either. 4 Likes 1 Share |

The North finding crude in commercial quantity is the best thing that can happen to Nigeria. In fact many intelligent analysts insist the North would have happily separated from Nigeria if they had crude in commercial quantity as the SS does. I am hoping this is now the case. Let every Northerner become a billionaire even. That will make me happy so long as they are favorably disposed to separating or at least regional governce. Anything to dabaru 'one Nigeria' is okay by me but nothing will produce result quicker than the North becoming cash rich overnight through commercial sale of crude. Let them keep and control their oil find. SW does not need it so long as we have control over our resources, assets and, vitally, regional direction without 'one Nigeria' regressive lunacy. 3 Likes 1 Share |
