I just bought fuel at 230/litre this morning.

Why exactly is the price of fuel going up? Is the government secretly phasing out subsidy?
We discussed this before on this thread

Greed

A large number of our issues are from opportunists

I still bought fuel at 169.5 yesterday

But there are places in this same festac where it is 195.

Right now people are hoarding rice and buying dollars speculatively.

But hey, its all Buharis fault.

My hustle is just incidental

The Qatar guy thought they were doing it for the Camera cheesy cheesy.
That was my first thought as well. It's still commendable regardless of the motive.

Nawa o

You guys in Lagos are enjoying. No filling station sells at this price in PH. Not even NNPC.

It won'tbe funny if subsidy is removed. This 230 is already painful to buy. I don't want to imagine buying it at 500 or more

They did it in the previous world Cup

Yes, you've seen 4 games so far in this Fifa World Cup, and Qatar 2022 promises to be everything and more.
But today the god of football descends from his throne to show us mortals what perfection feels like.

Today football's greatest ever player steps on the pitch. Today Lionel Messi plays.

I'm appealing for your post's to be precise and concise. You usually end up going off a tangent when addressing a particular subject.

One minute I'm asking the importance of my tribal identity, the next minute I'm being termed a slave, how we got to that point, I know not.

A001, in our country alone, we have more than 700 different ethnic groups. Nigeria is a place where for every 20 kilometers you walk, you see a different ethnic group with different culture. Over the years, many cultures have died off as there is more acculturation that takes place. In our quest to be united as a society, we have to sacrifice our separate identities to meld as one. Why do you think one has to fightbto maintain his cultural identity? What if i wanted to see myself more as yoruba man than an Igbo man? Will it be wrong?
You keep asking me the same questions I already answered. I've answered your questions in my earlier posts.

If you hate your culture so much that you want it to die and feel it's inferior, who am I to convince you it's not?

People promote their culture to preserve their history and heritage. But it seems you don't mind the Igbos losing their history and cultural heritage.

You hate your culture and want it to be wiped, yet it's you people that will be crying about marginalization.

How will they not marginalize you when you don't like your culture. Hating your culture is a form of self-hate.

If you denigrate your culture, outsiders will agree with you and call it evil. They're indirectly calling you an evil person because your culture is your identity whether you like it or not.

The English culture you're promoting today is because the English people don't denigrate their culture. They promote it.

But the African man thinks he's uncivilized when he promotes his indigenous culture because the whitemen say so. SMH.

Even if you adopt the English culture, that culture is also your identity.

You can't do without a culture and its importance is self-evident.

I know that some abroadians still cling to parts of their culture but I'm saying that for most, it's just farcical at best.

It's very practical to adapt to your new surrounding than clinging unto your old identity. A001 did not address my question adequately.
I'm asking him what is really the importance of one's cultural identity and he's yet to be downright specific.
I've already told you the importance. But it's seems preserving your history and heritage as a people isn't important to you.

When you're marginalized, don't complain because no one respects a man that hates his culture (meaning he hates himself).

[color=royalblue]How did they know?

So they knew, spent money to rebrand cans all in the name of complaining? Which business man does that?

Qatar got the rights in 2016. So did Qatar give all these conditions then?

As budweiser ever supply into Qatar before undecided
So budwesier didn't know qatar law on alcohol since they were given the right to host the WC
Is qatar suppose to openly shout out loud since 2016 before they all know the law
You are saying it like qatar just started this law today or they should bend the law just because of some
people for 26 days.
So what happen after 26 days, they will now start afresh to rebuild what have been built for a long time

This is becoming a witch hunt, the fact that majority doesn't even have valid excuse is annoying

[color=royalblue]Well, Budweiser has a sponsorship contract with FIFA, not Qatar.

They pay FIFA to have their brand advertised, sell their products or souvenirs. It's sponsorship campaign in exchange for marketing

What is Budweiser's business with who is hosting it?

Exactly budweiser should go and meet fifa
It doesn't concern Qatar either and for them to still be the leading sponsor they must have reach compromise with fifa
That is why i said we should just enjoy football and leave matter to those are involve

I think going forward people will pay more attention to the FIFA world cup hosting rights bid. I mean most of the issues coming up now are embarrassing to say the least.

We must learn a lesson! I agree the deed is already done as regards to this Qatar hosting, but shiiiiits like this shouldn't re-occur. We shouldn't be arguing over the fact that football fans should or should not abstain from alcohol just for the sake of the sport.

Was the usual PO performance high on listing facts and figures of Nigerian problems but still lacked anything drastic or specific on how to tackle the issues. Still the same old "trust me bro I'll solve the problems"

Kadaria was fair in my opinion surprised with the accusations of bias against her.

The alcohol thing is a non-starter to be honest with you. I go to a football game once or twice a month here in the UK, and we're not allowed to drink Alcohol in the stands...you can only drink it in the concourse.

Infact, they don't even sell alcohol in any stadium once 2nd half has started. I've been going to football here since the late 90s and it has always been like this.

In Paris, you can buy beer at the Parc de Prince, but its non-alcoholic. There's no alcohol anywhere in the stadium, although oddly enough, unlike the UK cigarettes are allowed. Niggas just dey baz anyhow for my front.

In Spain, beer (alcoholic or not) is not even sold in the stadium at all. They have a huge weed culture in thar country though, and I have smelt weed in both Nou camp and Bernabeu.

So in my opinion, any European fan complaining about lack of alcohol in Qatar is pushing agenda. Budweiser themselves who don't sell their beer like that in European grounds, can't really be complaining about Qatar either.

All this stuff is really just agenda.

Fair enough but a lot of people had already judged her to be biased without waiting to see her in action with Atiku and Tinubu.
