Who has seen recent pictures of the COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo?

Omo! I shock and find it hard to believe he's the one until I saw his church posted same pictures and confirmed he's in Manchester for his church program.

@afrodoc2 are there medical conditions that can make one age so fast and at the same time the person emanciate like this?

I also doubted the picture and thought it was just some bloggers chasing clout trying to get traffic with the picture of an unrelated person.

I checked the COZA IG page and saw same pictures posted as him arriving Manchester for a program.

There are several conditions that can cause this, chief of them being any of the hundreds of cancers.

Shebi you see why my receipts dey dey absolutely necessary? This is one point where your colleagues are rationalising corruption and how APC was funded.

Do you disagree with them?
Maybe Tinubu should have taken the option of your principal, Saint Peter obi who chose to be a vassal for pdp.

The only reason the man is able to run today is because of Tinubu. Otherwise this country would be a one party state with all the apga type parties as satellite parties collecting mobilization from pdp

Remember this below??

donstan18:
I can see Ebonyi state there.

That’s an Igbo state o! When I said Ebonyi people are bullied and treated as outcasts in Anambra, some were arguing. cheesy
donstan18:
Abakiliki people are seen as 3rd class Igbos in SE, Ebonyi state people in general are seen as Northern-Igbos, ndi Igbo khaki.

From Awada, to Mgbuka, From Upper Iweka to Fegge. I don’t even want to talk about Ọba and Obosi the nearest areas to Onitsha.

Even in main market, Abakiliki, Ikwo and Izaa people no too get mouth.

You can only argue this here, any proper Onitsha person will agree with me. grin cheesy
I’ve even personally made the statement because that’s the offline reality of them in the hands of other Igbo states.

donstan18:
Ebonyi people aren’t full blooded Igbos.

Let’s be serious please. They are way different and behaves like the Hausas.
donstan18:
Oh! My dear abiriba in Ohafia LGA.

Abia State are lucky to have you in their state, because if not for the existence of Ohafia and Ngwa in Abia state, Abia would have ended up as a 3rd class Igbo state like Ebonyi!
Sad to admit but they’re not rated offline. You need to live a while in SE to observe these things.

They’re regarded as Hausa version of IGBOs because of how they behave, the kind of odd job they do for penny, also because of the fact they’re not dubious like an average Igbo business man. And yea, they’re easily bullied and cheated on.

On the days when Muslims are praying or not available for labouring works, my foreman in Anambra then will always go and chatter Abakiliki and Ikwo laborers for manual excavation, they charge very cheap per partition and ft just like the Hausas, and very strong too. Most of my SE takes here are 1st hand experience.

And this brings us to this my point below.

donstan18:
Abakiliki people are igbos right?

Do you know they’re maltreated and bullied in Onitsha, same Igbo land? grin grin cheesy

“Abakiliki man” is an insult in Onitsha. When I tell you it’ll get worse in SE, believe and move on.
Same way “Aboki” is an insult in Igbo land, “Abakiliki man” is also an insult in IGBO land except Ebonyi state.

No be lie o. A friend managed to survive cancer and he spent tens of millions of naira. He was taking one particular injection that cost N75,000 naira. He takes four of those injections per course to be repeated every 3 weeks. 300k on injections alone every 3 weeks. He took the injections for one year!

That money we look at in our account and think we've arrived, it only takes one sickness to wipe it off.

I lost a close relative to prostate issues last quarter . We spent millions yet he didn’t make it despite seeing different specialists for close to a year and half . Everybody just dey broke anyhow during the period .

Believe me , making money and spending it on sickness/ailment is not a good thing at all. It will not only drain one financially but also emotionally and psychologically.

So sorry about your relative.

When he arrived in Luth having being referred from Lautech teaching hopsital, the doctors in Luth told us he may not make it. His was cancer of the bone marrow. He was really lucky.

At times I feel as if Nigerian doctors/specialist use one’s case to experiment and learn new things …. Like trial and error .

It gets crazy when u take a patient from one specialist hospital to the other and the new hospital asks u to discontinue drugs prescribed by old hospital to use theirs . U just look at ur patient and feel emotional about the whole stuff and what they are going through psychologically.

One of my colleagues has had case of using HMO hospital where doctor didn’t even test him and was so sure all the symptoms were for malaria and he started treating malaria only for his condition to get worse before they now run test as recommended by another doctor on duty and test result said it was infection.

Na why I no dey blame anybody wey dey try everything to get out of this country

Sickness that will wipe away savings, property, gratuity, pension, before still taking the person’s life. And there is little to no help from the Nigerian government.

The Nigerian people have been held hostage, but they don’t realise it. Those politicians are just obtaining and chancing us like hoodlums do on the streets to JJCs.

You beat me right to it. His started from PH. There's no hospital we didn't go. From Meridean to UPTH to First Rivers. He did countless tests and used numerous drugs, no improvement.

Someone advised him to go to the West because doctors there in his experience are better trained. He got to Lautech, they recommended their own tests, started treating him and there was still no improvement. While he was still at Lautech he one day went into comma and was referred to Luth. It was at Luth they correctly diagnosed the issue and said it was cancer of the bone marrow. Just imagine how much he had already wasted chasing shadows.

If you have kids and you take them to the hospital, no matter what you say, the first thing they will give you is antimalaria and antibiotics grin

When my first son was always falling sick, they kept giving us antibiotics and antimalaria. He will be okay for like a month only to fall sick again. It wasn't until I one day went to the Hospital and told them I wont leave till they tell me what is actually wrong with the boy that they referred me to the paediatrician. Turns out the boy had enlarged tonsils.

If to say I no change am for them, we still would have been going there every month.

Lack of access to proper investigation facilities makes even good doctors look incompetent.

2 scenarios.

1) A 60yr old patient comes to me with mild to moderate Right iliac fossa pain for several weeks. I don’t think it is appendicitis so I send him for blood tests and a CT scan (all covered by Medicare so he pays nothing). It confirms that it is not appendicitis but an inflammation of the Caecum (close to the appendix).

He is placed on antibiotics and bowel rest and feels better. After an appropriate rest time of about 6 weeks he is sent for a colonoscopy which shows that the reason he had the infection was because of a cancer that was growing in his intestine. The cancer is taken out early and he recovers fully.

2) In Nigeria that same patient can’t afford CT so the doctors don’t know the caecum is the problem. They might go ahead to take out the appendix and give him antibiotics which might make him feel better but the cancer that was the original problem is not discovered. Or maybe he can afford the CT and antibiotic treatment but can’t afford the colonoscopy. Either way the cancer keeps growing and maybe spreads to his bones or other organs before it is discovered.

It is not like the first set of doctors are better, but na condition make crayfish bend.

Notice something? The people who are complaining about our terrible health care system are still the same people not bothered about doing something about this.

We all have been victims of the mess of this country, my own blood relatives died due to the inexistence of any emergency system and the lack of proper health care system, it fuelled my passion to see a Nigeria that works.

I didn't fold my hands and say well, that's Nigeria for you.

It's very disheartening that does who share the same anguish as I did decided to cave into the hopelessness and for lack of better words become cowards to the situation. They are still forming fencesitters. They've been fence sitters for 10 years and decide to continue be fence sitters and complainers. You can't eat your cake and have it. Do your own part.

We have an opportunity once in 4 years to effect change of our leadership structure at all levels, we better grab it by the scruff of the neck, if not we lose our rights to complain.
