We all know Abuja is arguably the most organized city in Nigeria but behind the facade of the glitz and glamour, there are run down communities that many of you may not know about.

These communities are scattered throughout the city and are usually hidden.

I went to one of these communities to show you what these parts of Abuja truly looks like.

This is an eyesore, very unsightly

It's not peculiar to only Abuja. We have many undeveloped areas in all the states of the federation.

You're trying to score a cheap point but unfortunately for you, not everyone is stupid.

The poster has no point. All states have outskirts and they are underdeveloped. In fact, Ogun West is where Ogun generates massive revenue but it's the most undeveloped region in that state.

This particular place is inside Abuja proper and you can find similar places around Maitama, Asokoro etc.

Actually, I'm not angry and don't get angry most times anymore as regards Nigeria. I've understood that being individualistic is one of the effective ways to live in Nigeria. Most Nigerians don't care about the country, so everyone should focus on their own individual life and contribute collectively when necessary.

You are right qnd it's not getting any better. The thing is why is it so difficult for these guys to do the right thing? It's annoying and inconceivable. They see how dilapidated Nigeria is but just don't care to fix the problems.

Doing the right thing will make them not able to embezzle and divert public funds to their pocket, it will make them sacrifice more time and energy for the benefit of the citizens and residents, it will make them become more passionate and empathetic about the country and citizens, it will make them become prudent and honest. And it comes with little financial reward. So, nobody wants to sacrifice for his community, state or country.

Even the youth and younger generations are worse.

Well, hopefully. The Nigerian electorates should be more conscious of their electoral power.

Mpape is less than 8 km to Aso Rock villa. Durumi is directly opposite the National Assembly quarters. Both are just two of over a hundred of such places like the ones OP posted.

Those pictures are taken in Nyanya to be precise, and Nyanya is an out sketch of Abuja, they share boundaries with Nassarawa State

Most of you don't know that 87% of Abuja na big terrible ghetto,... From kubwa to bwari to duste to Lugbe to airport road to apo to mpape to gwagwa just name it!!!!
I remember during my nysc days when one guy was forming abuja based for me, when I asked him where he stays in Abuja and he said gwagwa I just laughed and gave him a detailed Google map description on how to get to his Abuja ghetto that was the end of his ABUJA BIG BOYS FORMING
