Atiku and Tinubu’s presidency will set dangerous precedence that will not be well for Nigeria and might change Nigeria forever.

Atiku’s presidency will give the north the impression (a real one) that they can switch the presidency among themselves with useful southern idiotic region to always help them. They used Southwest in 2015. They are hoping to use Southsouth in 2023.

On the other hand, Tinubu’s presidency with his Muslim Muslim ticket will give the Muslims the impression (a real one) that they can install the president of Nigeria by themselves and that they can do without Christians. The implication of this is that Christians might not stay quiet anymore. That’s even excluding Tinubu’s frail health, drug history and a past shrouded in secrecy.

Only Peter Obi’s ticket is viable and balanced enough to fly. Then talk about equity and fairness and justice for Southeast as added advantage.

The period of Northern military rulership of Nigeria was when the north used its military dictators to restructure Nigeria to 19 states for one region, but only 17 states for 2 regions; imposed the present lopsided political structure and debilitating unitary government system both of them favoring Northern region. That was when north used its military dictators to supervise the extant Constitution.
Atiku Abubakar wants to profit from the lopsided political structure to win the 2023 presidential election: a presidential candidate must win 25% of votes from 24 states before proclaimed winner.
The south can't continue to remain an appendage for north in one Nigeria. No country was established to remain indivisible. Atiku continuing in his Presidential ambition is endangering the integrity of Nigeria.

Constitution has Federal Character principle and even QUOTA system enshrined in it.
Federal Character principle is geared to make every Nigerian group participate in political process, including holding apex political leadership of of Nigeria.
The north has benefited from QUOTA system for years. If you don't want Federal Character principle anymore because you want Atiku, a Fulani, to succeed President Buhari, another Fulani, you must be preparing to have your Arewa Sharia Republic to be governed with Sharia criminal laws.

Atiku wants to restart Igbos to agitate for Biafra if his plans to succeed President Buhari gers through. He wants to restart Yoruba Nation agitators if his plans to succeed President Buhari gets through. I think restarting these agitations are what the G5 governors want to preempt.
