....and the writer said, all these hustling under the sun and striving after the wind is vanity upon vanity. One amass wealth only to leave it for others to enjoy. But my friend, do your best. The fact that our brain can normally keep working and processing information for thousands of years shows we are not programmed to live for just the few years we live. God actually shortened our lifespan so we dont go on suffering under this present inappropriate system. There is God my brother, and he soon will correct the system so that living will become fun just as he originally planned it. Then he will bring back billions of the dead to come fulfil their potentials of living in fullness for thousand and thousands of years. Design is proof of a creator. He isn't dead. We should not choose to end the gift of life he has given us. We should keep up the present strife and struggles. We should regulate our lives in such a way that we don't live above our means. We should simplify our lives and really prioritize those things that are important; these things are families, friends, eating, marrying when we can and drinking. We should avoid undue pressure and competition. We should set for ourselves realistic goals. We all will be fine eventually. Even the deads have hope. We together with those that have died even thousands of years before us will be fine eventually. God is all wise and POWERFUL. While I was at ESUT I was under a lot of pressure too and sometimes I feel scared of what the future holds for me
As a student from the west schooling in d east, sometimes things go out of hand and I suffer.
I do have friends that we barely survive cos our parents are average ppl
So I think students can be depressed and scared of their academic. I imagine myself failing then with all the suffering and expectations waiting for me back in Lagos.... I tell u it can be scary.
These days the values have changed and nobody expect much from a graduate cos the reality has shifted expectations
Why he committed suicide is really not clear unless he's been having an underlying mental issues

No! I can relate. I have been there. Only a coward will take his/her own life because of the circumstances of life. So you mean they just started exams straight, or were they about to write their exams before strike started? If it's the former, it means they weren't taught anything and just expected to sit the exams like that. That's cruel meen, bit if it's the latter, then they got enough time to read, revise, read again, retain, memorize, understand and infact blast that exam. I remember a course in medical school we spent 9months preparing for the incourse, instead of the usual 3months due to strike. I got a solid A in the course, because I don read that course in & out, solved questions from the CD at the back of the textbook, scored myself, and even gave myself negative markings sef. There was nowhere they could bring the question from, I go nap them, so I wasn't even surprised when I saw I had an A sef... |
