These things you mentioned now, 4 tribes of 20million population each, a Christian Muslim population and 4 coups. Are they the reason why Nigeria is not working today?

But my reply has nothing to do with my hope nor Peter Obi fixing Nigeria.

I'm rather surprised at your assertion about living experiences in Nigeria being cheaper and better vs abroad where you are. So make we no japa again?

How is it a convenient excuse when a civil war has been fought over it, and at least 6 coups have happened?

How is it a convenient excuse when PDP is being torn apart over the issue of zoning, and the Tinubu ticket is considered to be at a major electoral disadvantage for being a same faith ticket?

Why did Peter Obi have to have a Nothern Muslim as his VP?

Do you know Federal Character in civil service appointments is literally written into our constitution?

Why do you think state of origin is a thing in Nigeria? Can a Yoruba man from Ekiti go and contest for Governor of Borno or Ebonyi?

I admire your idealism (i suspect borne of youth), but if the ESN, BH, etc activity don't tell you that this is country being crushed under the burden of false amalgamation, then nothing else will.

Atiku that has been contesting for election even before my first baby allowed me to cross the red sea and will still contest if he loses this election alongside okowa with that his long teeth like suarez that is always collecting money with almost nothing to show for it is who somebody stealing soup that google cooked is expecting to benefit from? See how almost nobody is promoting them here even though most are tired of APC. I'm sure if somebody tries to push his campaign with the stubbornness of dDonjazet and oasis they too alongside rraumdeuter and ttatafo will get angry, settle their differences and collaborate to deal with that person.
If they win I will just sell my remaining properties and look for a way to run to Ivory coast or gambia. Afterall Japa is Japa.

All I see is someone delighting in listing problems without solutions.

Multiculturalism is not the only problem with Nigeria, corruption is too, bad leadership is too. Look around you, is it Hausas that made oyetola to steal billions of Ondo state money? Is it yorubas that made ikpeazu or timpire sylva to squander their states money? Tell me how multiculturalism made these particular governors to steal and underperform in the same country you have makinde, Obi and zulum?
There are countries who have had worse than us but still turned around their problems.

China is multicultural and still turned themselves around to become successful, same thing with India, the biggest democracy which is also multicultural.

This argument of blaming our amalgamation 100 years ago as the number 1 problem doesn't sell. Mind you, I'm not saying, multiculturalism isn't a problem, it is. But we can still succeed IN SPITE of this. Biggest example of this? INDIA. From being poverty capital of the world to being a top 10 richest country.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Donjazet2: 1:17am On Dec 03, 2022
GIVE US SOLUTIONS!!!

Enough of this doom-mongering. The enjoyment or delightfullness of Nigerian's sorrow.

Nigerians say they want to take their destiny in their hands, you start calling them fools. Saying they are just making noise without sense, then you scream to them that Nigeria would never work, then you come and brag in their faces how you are enjoying the downfall of the currency and how you are now like a billionaire. Then you start mocking the poor ones in Nigeria, insulting people's parents.

If you guys cannot see the mindset behind these wickedness and fall for that crap, you have yourselves to blame.

You listed some issues as shown below. You proceeded to claim some countries have those same issues but are doing better than us.

All I did was highlight some of those issues and ask you to back up your claim that some countries with the same issues are better or performing better.

So mention those countries that have those issues that shouldn't be a problem and are also performing better than Nigeria. Below is a screenshot of your words

Yes, it's true that Nigeria was set up to fail from the start. That's glaring to anyone that took the time to read the history of the country.

So, your solution is for us to collect 2k or at most 5k from politicians at polls and vote APC back to power again?

We should collect a De Rica of rice from APC politicians and suffer for the foolishness for four years?

I know this is what you mean by people putting their personal interest first in considering candidates to vote for in the upcoming elections.

Why don't you guys overseas just leave Nigerians here alone and let them choose the best candidates to vote for at polls?

Someone with a working brain will see the damage APC's Buhari has wreaked on the country and still vote APC back to power just for 5k or a De Rica of rice.

And they're wise to you because they've put their personal interest first above all other considerations?

SMH.

It still baffles me the personal, selfish interest you guys abroad have in the evil party called APC.

Off the top of my head, I can tell u Nigeria and China/India are not one and same and do not have same issues.

China was never formally clonized like Nigeria was and Indians are poor as 4ck!

Since my old man was a clerical staff in the 70's Indians have been trooping to naija to get jobs just to have funds to repatriate home. I can tell u for free that Indians are being employed cheaply as managers in the manufacturing industry in Naija today just beacuse they are cheap to employ, they work their team members like horses and they can work even inside a stuffy, dusty and damp room referred to as office. Forget story, Indians no get level.

Whatever poverty index they are quoting, Indians are still poor as 4ck! We watch them on TV and see the deplorable conditions they live in.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by A001: 1:39am On Dec 03, 2022
Nigeria is a country of different nations. The system (of forced marriage) is faulty from the start.

Even the best presidents in the world will fail in this country unless they form regional governments first before anything.

I don't know what you're talking about.
Look at this table here. India is the world's 5th biggest economy in the world.

Again, number 5 in the entire world.
All their economic index far surpassess ours. These are people that experienced this tremendous growth in just 2 decades.
Trying to use personal anecdotes to show that Nigeria is better than India is a logical fallacy.

India is better than Nigeria in every single metric used to measure growth.

So how is it that our production suddenly fell below the normal threshold when apc came into government?
This is another thing people have said on this thread but it is simply not true. The dip in production was the lowest since 2009. The reason is simple. The same issues that bedeviled OBJs govt into Yar Adua's and stopped after GEJ became HOS, started again after GEJ lost.

Can you guess what it was? If you can, you'll know what SLS meant when he said corruption will fight back.

Prove me wrong nah. I work with Indians, I have many of them in my Team from Punjab, Kerala and co. Even Mumbai and New Delhi have Slums.

I am talking from experience not just trying to score cheap points on NL. I listen and learn a lot from them about their Country, same as Pakistanis and Filipinos.

So to you the solution to this is moving back to PDP?
He will go back to his brothers but this time he has the bigger fish to fry so they'll comply. Peter Obi is PDP through and through and they have the structure he needs. Or else he will be like Azikiwe - a ceremonial president. You cannot make significant changes without the NASS as they collectively have veto power against the president. The few things he will be able to do will be by executive orders and who can he force to implement them? Law enforcement? The military? They won't fear him because he cannot make substantive appointments without that same NASS endorsing it.

Even the fact that NNPC can deduct what they like before making remittances is crazy but guess what? You need that same NASS to change the law concerning how deductibles from crude oil sales are collected. Will they do it? No way because NNPC pays them hefty bribes to keep the status quo. That is the vicious cycle we are talking about.

Under the presidential system, the president is the de facto leader of their respective political party.
The military is an item under the 'Exclusive Legislative List'...
