POS guys will have to think out of the box.... For example if I want to withdraw 100k from POS instead of using ATM card I will transfer to the POS person who will include charge. However the challenge they will have is sourcing for cash with the new bank withdrawal charges I suspect POS charges per withdrawal will have to increase.

The real difficulty lies in going to the market. If you want to pay a market woman who is not enlightened above 20k how you go fit do am?
welcome to nigeria where the government believes the country should fly when it hasnt finished learning how to crawl. they cant provide roads, quality education and healthcare, employment, reduce inflation but they want everyone to be doing cashless policy

I still see a loophole in this policy...people are going to make large withdrawals as from the 15th of December till 8th of January next year...large cache of cash would be withdrawn from banks in that 3 weeks window
Eventually, it'll finish

Now, how will POS guys survive? This is not fair to the common man
POS guys are the main problem. Selling money they didn't work for for a fee. Money collected from OTC or worse ATM machine

All FG-CBN want is cashless policy!
You can make N100m transaction or more in a day through only online banking.

This is kind of good.

Cash hoarding will become more difficult, as will be ransom to kidnappers.

Wahala.

Though I support anti-cash measures, this one is extreme, as our systems are not fully mature.
Such a foolish statement
You think you get to say how extreme you want your tyranny?

50k would ave been much better.
because you are at 50K. Level abi, those above you can go to hell
I hope they make it 1K
Shebi you like cashless policy?

For instance, my card has failed several times, while out on dates, so I always withdraw enough cash to cover the outing.

A substantial part of this largely ridiculous policy will be reversed by the next administration. I wonder why most people are beating themselves up. I am laughing here because I am more than hundred percent sure that it won't last more than six months. grin

A policy you couldn't implement in nearly eight years? You now want to burden the next administration with shocks and repercussions of an untested, hefty monetary policy. Useless political CBN. angry

Cashless policy
Nope!
Doesn't still change anything.
Customers just has to keep making use of internet banking to enable make transfer to POS agents. Perhaps, the charges might even increase in their end.

This policy will help curb inflation especially the aspect of printing less higher denomination note such as 1000 naira. Printing 200 naira will bring more smaller denomination into circulation and bridge inflation
So as a car dealer , if I have a Lexus SUV in my park for 10million naira … So CBN new policy will now curb inflation and make me sell it for 2million naira shey .

huh
Make una try Dey think once once

There's no market woman that will engaged in a single transaction worth 20K that is not enlightened, She will definitely be in tune with electronic transactions.
Are you sure about that? My point is that in this day and time can you comfortably shop for a family of 4 with 20k at the market?
