Another smart move in ensuring those with bulk cash think twice before taking it to the bank, to collect am back go hard. CBN knows what is doing to an extent, many will be forced to spend the bulk of old cash with them before it becomes a waste. This move may affect us but on the long run currency hoarders are on big trouble except the inject it back to circulation by forceful spending before the elapse

Buhari is the downfall of Tinubu.

The man is doing everything possible to frustrate Tinubu's chances of buying votes. He saw how Tinubu brought out bullion vans of cash to buy voted for him in 2019 and he doesn't want that.

First he signed electoral act and approved used of BVAS for election, Tinubu has been crying since then because it reduced his chances of rigging the election.

Next he introduced Naira redesigned which limits their vote buying power, he didn't stop at that he gave a very short deadline which prevents them from quickly changing enough old notes and now he has put a cap on daily withdrawal.

Buhari is Tinubu's kryptonite. He meant well for Nigeria but the cabals and the people that sponsored him hijacked his government. Now he has done two terms and has nothing to lose, now is the time to hand over Nigeria to the people but I am surprised that Tinubu is still parading himself as the president and not seeing the handwriting on the wall.

The game has changed. His only alternative now will be the use of violence and intimidation to keep opposition voters in doors

grin grin grin am laughing going through the comments on this thread.

Let me help you guys with the solution, it's very simple.

Open many bank accounts like five account in different banks.
You withdraw 20k from 5 different account is already 100k in day. And you can open more than five accounts.

Do this and thank me later. cheesy

Only if this account isn't linked to your BVN

The rich get richer ...the poor poorer...
If you are into pOs ..open multiple cooperation accounts..
And withdraw 2million a month to remain in business...

This when pos business gets competitive and interesting..

I wish they can address the unnecessary deductions by first bank especially

Oh, yeah. If wishes were horses... Nothing would be done.

That's how Wema Alat deducted SMS charges from my balance in advance (through 25 December) barely days after deducting same amount for November. Na account closure go end that matter.

This country is just messed up. Big time!

Still too high.

2k is enough.
Let us embrace this cashless policy.
CBN steals our money in the guise of printing new notes.

This guy sef grin

You go withdraw 2k enter market to buy bag of rice abi? grin

The 20k is ok, but 50k would have been the best.

God bless them for this one. Been meaning to talk about it a long time...you'll see people go to atm to withdraw large Sum of money...for what? There are many ways to transact without cash for Christ sake.

They will not as far as it does not affect electronic fransfer.

The implication of this policy is that, there would be too much money in circulation as people won't take their cash to the banks anymore. They would rather keep cash at home having known that they may unable to withdraw a certain amount if there is need for it. POS guys too will keep alot of cash instead of taking them to bank.

#200 or less denominations at ATM is more than enough to discourage heavy withdrawal. The policy will do more harm than good.
Only a fool will keep a huge sum at home knowing it could be lost withing seconds.

Now, how will POS guys survive? This is not fair to the common man

This was never supposed to be a form of business in a working society in the first place.

So it's like saying how will Okada rider survive when they were not built for commercial transportation in the first place.

Abnormality has taken over alot of things in Nigeria.

Ok. Let me spell it out clearly for those who don't understand. Nigeria is broke. Looted beyond safe levels as Nigeria has to pay their debts. Those who looted Nigeria can't be forced to release the money they are withholding so it has to fall on the masses to keep their money in the system, where arbitrary taxes can be imposed at will to pay off those debts. Very reminiscent of MMM before the collapse.

I believe with proper documentation Banks would allow more withdrawal for POS agents.. Emefiele also said they intended to make withdrawal more difficult and strict, but they have no Constitutional power to stop withdrawal of your money

Nigerian leaders don't need the Constitution to do whatever they want.

You live in America, but you cannot enlighten your aged parents to embrace technology. It's entirely your fault.

You want Nigeria to remain backwards so you can insult the country at will. Sorry, it won't work.

Just the way old people moved from cowries to paper money, they will have to embrace technology as well. It's no longer optional - it's a necessity. tongue

Ah, you are only putting the cart before the horse (in a yoruba elder's voice)

How will they source for cash? Remember robbery will be much then.
L8ke I said, they'll have account with multiple banks to get their ATM.
Also, as a POS agent, you can reach out to businesses that receives cash. Convin6them to give you cash instead of them taking it to Bank them transfer to them.

That's the essence of going cashless. They can wake up tomorrow and declare that you now own only 50% of money in your account. If you doubt it can happen, go and ask Cyprus.

Abi na! Or N500 sef.
Yeah right. When a good amount of Nigerian traders are illiterates that keep their money in wooden safes buried in small holes. Let's not go there. Nigeria is still a backwater 5th world country that has more illiterates than literates, all these nonsense high up stuff that y'all keep pushing for can never work here. It's like using gum to attach peacock feathers to a common fowl. It's still not a fowl and would be subjected to strong ridicule for trying to be one.

Welcome to the future, you shall own nothing and be happy. Of course, we know why this is happening, expect more crazier deductions in the future. Honestly, the days of material possessions was just so much better, nowadays everything's fcking going digital.

Can you imagine that Most AAA games have gone digital, you don't even own the game and the stupid company who made it can retract it if they want.

Abeg, make Dem just hit reset button. Humanity has failed again
