I love the process they have worked to lay.
First, Re-designing the Naira note, it doesn't make sense but I now understand the reason why. The actual motive was not to change the note but to end the existence of the current one so as to alleviate a significant amount of corruption.
Secondly, reduce the incessant use of cash transaction. Limiting daily expenses of cash exchange.
Your head is correct

The seller is not serious. Look for a seller that receives transfer. The one that wants cash will be forced to receive transfer by force or quit.
Oga this will increase fraud and scams via Fake transfer. The CBN cashless policy is extremely too dull and unintelligent.

Obi.....hope you are taking note?

My fellow Nigerians, What monetary policies will you implement to ensure the naira is valued at an appreciable rate?
Any buying/selling done with or within the country will be paid in the country’s currency, we can’t buy from you with your own currency and still sell for you with your own currency (it makes no sense), this is why the American dollar has dominated number 1 in currency exchange.

If I want to buy from you, i will pay you in your own currency. If you want to buy from me, convert the amount in my own currency and pay me.

Omo like dis naira no get value

Better! They better do something about it because I don't understand the rational behind this 20k withdrawal per day or per week.

What IF I wan buy something of 120k and the seller demanded for cash?
Then the seller is not ready to sell, this is the best policies in the centuries.

I totally agree with your statement. We must set-up a panel or commission to ensure this idea sees the light of day

Do you know that some BIG gas stations within the metropolis don't take transfer, yet their POS terminal is always down.
If you have to fill up your tank and run few errands, 20k sef no go do anything

Think things through before you comment.

Most countries in the world have moved beyond cash, and you people always harp on about how Nigeria is underdeveloped.

We're tired of lame excuses for some unwashed masses who won't get with the times. We refused to be held back by ignorant folks who chose to remain in the stone ages. Technology and progress will not wait nor bend over for anyone.

There's nothing you can't do with electronic transactions, you don't need that much paper money in circulation.

I can't even remember the last time I held or needed paper money, home and abroad, even for taxis and trains.

By this time next year we must have all forgotten about all these debates.

Some debates we used to have three years ago no longer come up. This one will be the same too.

Is there even supposed to be a limit? Is it not your money? This is why so many people avoid putting their monies in the bank. Very soon, they will come up with cash transfer limit. Useless government. Always bringing policies that makes life more bitter for most Nigerians.

Re: Cash Withdrawal Limits: Senate Grills CBN Chiefs Tomorrow by Nobody: 11:42am On Dec 08, 2022
I make bold to say the current crop of top executives at the CBN have very low IQs.

You're including a clause which gives exemptions to POS operators to be able to withdraw beyond the stipulated limits just so their businesses don't fold up. But are you too stupid to remember that the POS business is a two way system where the operator needs the patronage of customers to function and make profits?

If you limit my withdrawal to 20K daily and Abdul my POS service provider has 2million naira to dispense, how does he achieve his profit purpose? Where does he get his patronage from since we all cannot withdraw beyond 20K?

Emefiele needs to be severely beaten after his woeful Cbn administration. Very stupid fellow!
