The Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria has kicked against the new point of sale (POS) withdrawal limit announced by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The CBN, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, announced that the daily withdrawal limit for POS will be 20,000 naira from January 2023.

Weekly withdrawal limit over the counter has also been set at N100,000 and N500,000 for individual and corporate organisation. This directive takes effects from 9th January, 2023.

The CBN has said POS operators will be given a waiver that allows them to withdraw more. That is the update.
