I am very surprised that people consider Ronaldo to be better than Messi. But OK.

But let's keep in my that the World Cup is a collective trophy. And that players are individuals first before being part of a team. So, to ascertain someone's Goat status, we must focus more on individual realisations. And in that regard, Messi is clearly the greatest footballer to ever enter the pitch.

True. If it was not for Messi this team probably wouldn't have qualified for the knockout stage. If Netherlands block him, it would be very hard for Argentina to go through. Hopefully A. Di Maria will be there.
