Christistruth00:have you read the land use act you are asking me to read? If so then all the oil found in the Niger delta ought to be the sole ownership and responsibility of the state government. Dont come to a public forum to type rubbish. All river basin authorities are domiciled in the ministry of water resources (FG), all surface rivers, lakes, coaster body of water, lagoons, are under authority and supervision of NIWA, NIMASA, NAVY. Reason why people kicked against the water bill that would have granted FG authority over underground water resources like aquifers, aquiclude and aquitard because. |

Supremos: Emphasis on River Niger which was to remove silt. River Niger passed through those states who gave their approval. Different from dredging lands to bring in ocean. |

diadem10:Ewu, the water way has been there since the creation of humanity and has received bargages and heavy duty equipment, what they will do is simply make it properly navigable by desilting it and clearing debris along the waterway for free flow of goods and services. If that's what you termed Rivers state having an ocean Surge, then you must be m@d in capital letters. The same Rivers state has indigenous Igbos along the River banks of Urasi and do you think Imo state government will do anything to hurt her brothers in another state?. You must be a Yoruba Muslim looking for attention |

christistruth01:Are you aware that Onne port isn't directly to linked to the Ocean? It's some nautical miles away from the Atlantic ocean. Are you aware that most of the ports in Nigeria were dregded some distance to the Ocean?. Onne seaport was dredged up to 60 Miles to the Atlantic and Calabar seaport was dredged 45 nautical miles to the Atlantic. Ibaka seaport is about 30 nautical miles to the Atlantic and the Lagos seaports dredged up to about 50 nautical miles to the Atlantic |

ariesbull:Don't mind the kolo. He is not aware that it's the fg that pushed for the dredging because of their oil and gas interest in Urasi and Oguta axis |

ariesbull: Yeah. State may not have right to their resources which they're still equally fighting for but they have a right to their lands. |

diadem10:And Werey like you doesn't know that desilting and dregding goes hand in hand?. By the way, tell me any major port in Nigeria that wasn't dregded? Onne seaport was dredged up to 60 Miles to the Atlantic and Calabar seaport was dredged 45 nautical miles to the Atlantic. Ibaka seaport is about 30 nautical miles to the Atlantic and the Lagos seaports dredged up to about 50 nautical miles to the Atlantic |

Supremos: You don't even know what's doing you Tbh. Desilting or dredging a river is different from dredging "land" to bring an ocean. Sink that into your skull. And Yeah, you need River state approval. |

diadem10:When kolo like you tries to decieve everybody, people like us will spank you into hell. Dredging is the act of removing silt and other material from the bottom of bodies of water. As sand and silt washes downstream, sedimentation gradually fill channels and harbors. This material must be periodically removed by dredging |
