I am very disappointed with most of you who could not solve this Nursery School Arithmetic.

Exception to those who didn't notice the two wine glasses are half-filled each.

Now to the solution:

Red wine bottle = 3
Champagne bottle = 5
The two half-filled glasses = 2

Appling Arithmetic rule, BODMAS

2 x 5 = 10
10 + 3 = 13

Therefore, the answer is 13

3+22*5=113

THE ANSWER IS 35

very simple arithmetic.

3 bottle of wine = 9.
therefore each bottle = 3.

second:
A bottle of wine + champagne = 8.
Wine = 3, Champagne = 5.
That is 3 +5 = 8 correct.


Third:
Wine and 2 glass = 7
Wine = 3 (proven above) 2 glass = 4.
Each glass = 2.
3+2+2 = 7 correct.

final answer:
Wine = 3
two glasses = 4
Champaign = 5

(3+4) x 5 = 7 x 5 = 35.

X=3 equation 1.

X+y=8,
Y=8-x= 8-3=5 equation 2.

X+ 2d=7, 2d=7-x=7-3=4, 2d=4, d=2 equation 3.

X+2*d*y= 3+ 4*5. Bodmas comes to play
3+20= 23.

Final answer=23

I'm not sure that's accounted for cos even if we factor in the content of the glass, how do we know it's half full and not 7/13 full, given the shape of the glass and the complexity of determining volume by mere sight?

So many people need numeracy training!
