The Deputy Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council and former National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, has said Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best qualified to win the 2023 presidential election.
Naija News reports that Tinubu will be contesting next year’s election to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari against Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).


Speaking at the kick-off of Edo South Senatorial District APC’s campaign in Benin, where the senatorial candidate, the four House of Representatives candidates, and those of the state’s House of Assembly were unveiled, the former governor of the state urged all Nigerians to massively vote for Tinubu and other candidates of APC, during the 2023 general elections.

The APC campaign rally was attended by two former Edo Deputy Governors: Dr. Pius Odubu and Lucky Imasuen, who is the Director-General of APC Presidential Campaign Council in the state; APC governorship candidate in the 2020 election in Edo, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and the state’s Chairman of the party, Col. David Imuse (rtd).


Others at the rally included a former Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Samson Osagie; ex-Speaker of Edo House of Assembly, Uyi Igbe; a former member of the House of Representatives, Patrick Obahiagbon; Edo Secretary of APC, Lawrence Okah; members of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party; and other leaders from the seven local government areas that make up Edo South Senatorial District.

Also speaking at the campaign, the Edo State APC Chairman described Governor Godwin Obaseki and members of his administration as pretenders.

He urged Edo people to massively vote for APC as the leadership style of Obaseki continues to deny the masses of the state access to basic amenities.


Imuse said: “The people governing Edo State today are pretenders. They have come to destroy Edo State. It is only in Edo State that they will destroy a library and turn it into a supermarket. It is only in Edo State that they will convert a children’s ward in a hospital into another supermarket.

“Our markets are getting burnt. Last year Ekiosa market, Benin City got burnt, and today, a part of the market has been converted into Jara supermarket. They want to drive away our market women from their markets.

“We wanted to place campaign materials on billboards, they have refused to allow us to do that, but we have carefully selected our candidates. They will be led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, so that we will win at the presidential election and win all the elected seats in the state, from senate to the state House of Assembly.”

@ OP, you should have done additional schoolwork on your stream of thought with the silly caption of the thread. I do not perceive any type of qualification Tinubu possesses which trumps Peter Obi's. It is unfortunate that so-called leaders of Nigeria use English words wrongly. I guess the phrases such as best suited, best positioned, best equipped and best travelled would have been better than "Best qualified" in the silly write-up.

Tinubu won APC Primaries in a landslide despite President + Vice President + Senate President + Party Chairman opposing him...

That's the same way he will flog other aspirants.

Like him or hate him but the guy is a thorough bred politician. He's a Grandmaster that can beat you in several different ways.

El Rufai, Akeredolu, Fayemi and Amosun ALL publicly opposed and made humiliating remarks. What was his response now and then? SILENCE. Question is how exactly did he make them all fall in line ?

How much money will you offer a Governor who got 250 million naira monthly for 8 good years in security votes PLUS other billions?

Obviously, BAT made them offers they couldn't refuse.

Mark my words, Nigeria wouldn't become USA overnight but either Atiku or Tinubu will fix long running issues like ASUU, National ID card etc.

Why ? Both men are ruthless and crafty. They are both named crooks but give either a chance. After all, The Saint failed woefully.

Nigeria needs a Leader who's a "rugged crook" not a Saint because at least 150 million behave like animals.
