After doing that, better get ready to follow some people to be claiming owners of Lagos. Because na there you go hang.
grin grin
I will never understand why only one man here is credited with being the owner of Lagos.

Oro worshippers confessed he was murdered by tying a heavy stone to his chest after which he was dumped in the river. One oro worshipper told the white judge there is an adage in Yoruba which says " won o kin ri ajeku oro" , meaning u don't get to see the carcass of whatever prey oro has devoured.
would be interesting if the "oyinbos" sent divers into the water to retrieve the dead body, show it to the Oro worshipers then ask if that's the same carcass that Oro had rendered invisible

Lols, in Sharia, death penalty is the punishment for convicted blasphemers.

Thank goodness Sharia isn't the official legislative framework of the whole federation. If not, many Christians, traditional worshippers, and freethinkers would have been killed by blood-thirsty Muslims for so-called blasphemous statements while the Muslims blaspheme daily the teachings of other faiths.
Mubarak Bala is in prison right now. he was sentenced to 24 years imprisonment by a Sharia court. he's an atheist

Then i can go ahead to kill king of England and his family, will that earn me prison term or dealth sentence
Finances show it actually costs a lot more to carry out capital punishment than it would to sentence someone to life imprisonment in the USA. I know it sounds unbelievable but it's true

Lolz …. The case was much later after the man had long been digested in the belly of fishes .

The oro worshippers were actually sentenced to death by the white judge cos what they did and confessed in court was murder under common law .

When my old man narrates the story (cos he’s an avid reader himself and has been buying newspapers from when he was a youth back then) …. He says the interpreter in court literally asked oro worshippers in pidgin English “ Did u f’iro or did u not f’iro ? “ … Meaning did he join the other oro worshippers to carry out the maximum shishsi.

Unfortunately due to language barrier the man confessed he didn’t “f’iro “ , but he joined them to say “ oro baba o” …. Meaning oro is the baba . The judge just sentenced the guy along with the rest of the worshippers .

It’s unfortunate judges today find it difficult to sentence religious extremists .

When any bat supporters wants to praise Tinubu for giving igbos and non Yorubas breathing space to run business, remind them that Lagos once had a former Biafra soldier rule Lagos..
Guess who appointed him to be the military administrator of Lagos, another Yoruba man called Obasanjo. cheesy
All these are reasons why Lagos has been called no man's land.
It has had people from all over the country rule it. From north, south east and west.

One of the best leaders of Lagos whose legacy endures, lateef jakande was even from kogi state. That's what a city looks like. From new York to California to Lagos, the ethnic make up of a city is usually very understated.

Its their land their rules
Such laws of the land should be open to be challenged

Actually make that two.

There have been two Igbo governors of Lagos. Fun fact, both of them had actually fought on the Biafra side of the war.
Both were appointed by a yoruba military head of state called Obasanjo.
Now I understand why Obasanjo's lineage is being threatened. grin grin

The site couldn't open. Can you summarise?
The summary is that it costs more to execute someone for a crime than it does to incarcerate them for life

Messi is undoubtedly better than Ronaldo. No argument really. Both a creator and a goal scorer.
Such a lovely assist.

While they are different, in this context, they look very similar

Example....I insult your mama (na example oh grin)

Dem carry tyre burn me.

Disstroy says "No, don't burn him like that. Take him to a court, so they can sentence him to be burnt to death"

The issue is the fact that death is the price. Explaining the means doesn't change anything
Take to a court so that he can be tried sir.

You seem to have forgotten that courts also acquit people.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Amoto never said Deborah committed Blasphemy.

He also said he supports the death penalty for anyone convicted of Blasphemy through the court system.

So what's the problem exactly?

That's why I asked you if you support the death penalty for any reason - because if you do, then you really have no point.

Can you give a little detail? Because being incarcerated for life means, feeding you for the rest of your life, taking care of healthcare needs and the rest.
Death penalty is literally that, ending your life. How can this possibly be more expensive than incarceration for life?

Death penalty isn't the only sentence. You don't know, according to Sharia laws, death penalty is one of the sentences of blasphemy?

You think it's against Sharia if he was sentenced to death? Don't just argue for the mere sake of it.

Again I say this, the yorubas have to be studied when it comes to this issue of religious tolerance.
I don't recall ever hearing of any crises of religious making in the west. Any crises that involves bloodshed in anyway is most likely political in nature.

So far do you think that religion will play any factor in Yorubaland in these forthcoming elections? Will some yoruba Christians be pissed about the Moslem-moslem ticket?
It's what I was trying to tell you then. Most families in the SW have both religion among then. Yorubas that will vote against Tinubu wont be because of muslim - muslim ticket.

Off the top of my head I think his 'crime' is apostasy.

And the sentence for that is death.

Yes, he was lucky he got 24 years even though the sentence was also extreme.

His criticism (blasphemy) of Muhammad alone on FB attracted death penalty being resident in a state under Sharia laws.

The summary of this is that litigation fees is more expensive than life incarceration and that's just bullshite. It's a logical fallacy to state this.
Imagine taking care of someone for 60 years and still think it's cheaper. It's not believable at all.

"For it is written, my plans for you are of goals and assists, and not of bench. Of doing my talking on the pitch, not of interviews with Piers Morgan". Thus sayeth Leo Messi.
And in verse 10, it continues: "He shall be exalted above men. And the fate of his people shall rest upon his feet and those who trust in him shall enjoy footballing glory. And they shall sing of his praise in all ends of Argentina and round the world, even to Qatar. And it shall come to pass."

At this rate I'm begging Mbappe.

I'm even ready to walk back my Rashford better take.

I'm on my knees begging.

If this short bastard wins this thing there's no coming back.

Mbappe in the name of Otem, the 7 gods of Westeros, and Jesu Oyingbo, I beseech thee...stop this short man from desecrating the legacy of my legend.

So if I become a Muslim I have to remain one forever else if I convert to another religion I'll be considered an apostate and can be killed for that..... undecided

Which kind wahala be this.

This apostasy thing, I really do not understand . Is religion a secret cult that cannot be abandoned or what ?

So practically what they are saying is of one is born to a religion , he or she cannot renounce the religion of his own freewill ? And we actually have people still upholding these beliefs in this age and time ?

Omo !

While I was in school I know a lot of Muslim and Christian leaders who were committed to ensuring cultism was reduced to the barest minimum and some even offered refuge to ex-cultist who were committed to renouncing their various cult groups. This whole apostasy thing makes the Muslim amir and the congregation’s actions hypocrisy . This is because u are not only helping someone rid himself of his cult group that forbids leaving , but u are also indoctrinating them into ur own group that also forbids them from leaving or face the wrath of the sharia law system .
