They should just tell us that if we continue to allow Ru and China to increase their influence in our region, they, the US will cause us more problems. Maybe they are indirectly passing the message.

I am ashamed of African leaders, no self-respect at all. They all pack themselves to Washington for the US-Africa summit, and I wonder why they cannot just have the summit in Africa, and Biden should visit. Even worse, all that they discuss is China, China, Russia, and Russia.

A summit that should be of equal dialogue, becomes a lecture on why we should not work with China and Russia. These western idiots will land in Africa in an airport the Chinese built, drive in a highway built by the Chinese, in an event center built and paid for by the Chinese, to lecture you why you should not work with the Chinese.

Someone that meant well for you will never force you to take sides, they will do their duty and let you make decisions about what is good for you. Unlike the US which is forcing you to take sides, why should we? You have had your chance with the continent for over four hundred years (the year 1619 when the first slave ship arrived in Africa), but we are still dirt poor.

China just have a twenty years relationship with Africa, and hundreds of thousands of km of railways have been built, loans forgiven, seaport, airport, highways, and infrastructure scattered everywhere, businesses and jobs created, and cheap phones from the poor market women to be able to afford and video call her child in the city. China is a time-tested friend of Africa, and the west is not.

China did all these without asking us to let them build a military base in our countries, side with them, ask us to change our laws, privatize our national assets, or adopt austerity measures, they just do business and go, without any interference. Western history with us is their biggest baggage, there is just no way you slice it to see that they meant good for us.

New generations of African leaders should never make the mistake their ancestors made, by trusting the forked tongue of the west. Their hegemony is what they care about. But hope has arrived, we are now in a multipolar world, and poor countries will have a chance to breathe and develop, hopefully, we don't mess up this time around.

There is no need to be mad. We all understand these things now. African leaders under this things. They have to be diplomatic but I'm sure they know who their friends are and who is no. The west can no longer hold Africa back. Africa leader has seen what it means to depend on China for development and Russia for military aid. There is nothing they can do now.

I hope so. I believe they are playing the strategic game. Because you have to be powerful to be able to negotiate equally. African countries are dictated to, not negotiated with as equal partners.

When we set our house in order, then the world will take you serious and accommodate your interest. But it first begins with us.

The US is projecting power. They have to make others believe they are still on top. But as they empire continue to decline, that's the best they can do for now.

...and you had the voice to say all of these on a platform of freedom of speech, using devices based on Western technological blueprints; your cell phones and the rich internet resources you have at your disposal (even if unfortunately you can't use them reasonably).
Why did ZTE shrink from the fore lines of competitors? Why is Huawei convulsing currently?
Do you even know how Patented technologies and manufacturing rights are related?
iOS and Android are the soul of 80% of mobile devices globally. The OS that China can't create till this day.
Every Phone manufacturer is looking up to Google for the next documentation/ update on licenses and hardware requirements to run the next Android versions smoothly, with it's futuristic features added. Even the 7nm chip that China produces today where shared to them by the US. Huawei is suffering today because the US is putting up measures to restrict her from accessing modern microchips and wares pivotal to developing Hi fi devices now and into the future. Talk of 5nm and 3nm microchips.
You're always good at talking without understanding. If you know how dependent China is on the US technologically, you won't be up here in this space displaying such ignorance . Take a look at China's Mars probe Robot and tell me it's not a copy of US' Curiosity Rover. I know you would never understand this at your level. African leaders that booked their flight to the Summit use Google search and here you are using an android device or iOS device that US gave China instructions and directions how to build, with shared technological inputs.., here you are insinuating stupid things.

Stupid talk.

Foolish Africans like their leaders keep blame the West for their miseries because Africa is the only continent that was colonised, while Europe or America never faced Colonialism in any form, that's why they're better. Abi?
Nonsense!
Japan before Hiroshima experience was a global power. Africa as a whole was in the mud. She got bombarded by an atomic bomb plus the devastating fall outs that ensued. She returned to square zero. Got up and refixed her economy. Today she is better than any 10 African countries combined. Guess what? She is even a close ally to the the evil West that caused her pains in the past. Germany inflicted Europe with pains by Hitler, yet she is part of the EU today, developed and an ally to her adversaries in WW II. All these countries I've mentioned are far better than 20 any African countries put together. They've learnt how to improve themselves for future prospects, not trade blames all their lives like clueless Africans do.

I have an open mind, free of tribalism and political sentiments. Call me a Western puppet, it's your choice. China studied America, sent her citizens over there to learn core STEM skills to drive her industries. The Western template is China's compass, irrespective of the fact that China seeks reforming whatever she learnt from the West to suit her societal ideals. That's how it should be.
Africa is the only continent that still wails about her colonial masters as reason for her current miseries, while others have learnt, applied their lessons, developed and moved on.
If Germany were to be in Africa, I bet you, there are African countries that would still be blaming her today for their economic woes due to Hitler's war.
But Europe has moved on. Japan has moved on, because those guys don't reason the way we do here. We love excuses because we lack the inclination to build working systems.
Some funny people believed Gaddafi was the man that could have fixed this, but I laugh.
Africa needs Democracy more than any part of the world does. Autocratic systems in Africa have always induced cries and wailings from the masses. China can trade goods with Africa, but doesn't check the boxes to be an ally. Britain is a timeless ally of the US. You call her US' puppet, because they're tied up in similar ideologies. Yes they have different interests too, as politics is a game of interest without permanent friends or foes, but that is nothing compared to shared values.
In the event of WW II, Britain in a bid to avoid great technological, edge breaking secrets being seized by Hitler in the case they were invaded, passed most of her intellectual assets to the US. They wouldn't do that to a country just because they are trade partners. No.
The West is evil, yes. But you tell me, what countries among the evils we have right now, would a prosperous Nigeria be modelled after?
Russia? North Korea? China? Iran?
What political structure will best aid Nigeria's growth?
Autocratic? Monarchy? Democratic?

See, call me whatever you want anytime you're ready to move ahead, then you'll stop blaming a bitter past and push for reforms to springboard productive leaders that will think different from the myopic majority.

No shame. This is a country that instigated an uprising in one of Africa's most economically independent and stable countries.

They did not stop there but gathered their alliance of evil servants which they claim was created only for defensive purposes and carried out non defensive missile strikes against the leader of the sovereign country without a UN mandate which led to his capture, torture and brutal death.

The country was reduced to a failed entity afterwards, leading to a free flow of heavy weapons to West Africa causing insurgency and destabilisation never seen before. They then put boots on the ground to rape the oil industry in Libya.

Same US is lecturing us about destabilisation. No shame
