Not only in the north.
I think only blacks marry many wives and has no money.
My iraqi, pakistani, etc friends said it rare to see people with many wives in their countries.
Only rich marry many wives.

I hope Nigeria can learn from this.

We don't have the natural resources to cater to a very high population. Even taking stealing out of the equation, our natural resources are still not that much compared to many countries in the middle east with 3m or 10m population. 2 children are enough for ppl with low income.

Wow this man should come and educate and enlighten his fulani brothers in the core north who have been encouraging their people to marry more wives so that they can continue to use their population to win presidential elections.

What Wikipedia is saying in essence is that, In the course of his political career, he held the office of a senator. The office itself is not a career. Neither is being local government chairman or state governor a career.

I know in Nigeria, we like to turn everything upside down. Now our thieving politicians have come to believe that political office is a career. They even make laws to pay themselves pensions. Big shame
