If making it in life has much to do with someone's background, somebody like me may never amount to anything worth mentioning. With zero connection, it has been struggling upon struggling. Struggled really hard to graduate from school, even upon graduation, I was still sweating my ass out from one 30k teaching job to another. A really depressing kind of life if you asked me. A life you can't plan marriage on, you can't help family members, you can barely feed well. I knew it deep down that, that wasn't the life I would settle for.

The only job experience I had was in teaching and I really hated teaching. After two years of struggling with teaching, a friend linked me up to a Telcom job where I worked as a sales executive on contract basis. Though the salary was not much, but it gave me a big relief from teaching.

I garnered experience from that job, and my confidence increased. I got married while on the job even though the salary was low. I added the job experience to my CV and started applying for bigger jobs. Barely a year into the Telcom job, I got another job that paid times 2 of what the Telcom was paying. That was how i left there. Exactly 9 months into this new job, I got another one that paid times 2 again. That's about 500k monthly, this was something I never believed possible in life, i don't know how I found myself here. I used to envy my friends when they tell me they got a job of 100k, ota was a far-reaching dream to me. My definition of making it in life was getting a job that would pay you 150k per month. I was a very poor boy with no connection at all.

Now, I'm not used to my present status, i still feel very insecure. I get really scared of going back to square one. I really want to sustain this status. My life has adjusted to being comfortable i easily buy things i want, I'm never short of money. I just made my first million in life this month. Before now, i have never had 200k cash in my 30 years on earth.

To the experienced people here, how can one sustain success in life? I believe life offers everyone a chance. I don't want misuse this

This is the time to start thinking big. Begin to venture to your own business. Create your ideas and implement it now that ur salary is enough to save. There is no success bigger than the one u created for yourself. Your insecurities vanish with it.

You also have to let go of the poverty mentality and put on your risk taking self.

Also, it all boils down to luck. From birth to death, our decisions as humans can't always be entirely right no matter how well thought out and planned.

I think what you need to do know is to invest in yourself, go for knowledge that will increase your value and inturn give you more money and then invest in low risk investment like stock, mutual fund etc( Do your research well and if you don't understand it yet never put your money). Think about compound interest... Do away with FOMO

Congratulations to you. As you didn’t follow a certain Manual for getting where you’re today, I just want to assume that you married the right woman for your destiny. Work hard and smart, pray, and leave the rest to God. This life has no verified formular or manual. You might be doing the right thing all the time and still lose and vice versa.

First change your mindset
Change your money mindset
Add new circle of friends who is also making millions monthly so you can tap from them.
Next is investing in real estate ... You can start with lands then resident rental homes before your personal home.
Start game shop ( play station and Virtual realty)
Buy drones and rent it out to videographer.
Fix your money in deposit or Treasury bill
Invest in Uber or bolt
